PART 3: THE PROCESS
The process of joining the marines is a pain in the ass. Sometimes it's harder for certain people to join because- reasons. Reasons like medical history, criminal records, ya know....stuff like that because it requires a lot more paper work to enlist. You can get disqualified for literally anything, even being over/under weight. So now you can see why joining is a pain in the ass sometimes. You need a waiver for literally everything and anything. So annoying.
For civilians you just have a lot of signing to do, we get a lot of paper work too.
Then your recruiter will send you to a place called M.E.P.S-Military enlistment processing station. Where you receive more paperwork, and do physical check ups, and a lot of waiting. No like seriously.....a lot of waiting....its so boring.
As for the physical check ups, they get your weight, and they have you strip down to your undergarments in front of other girls there, and they pull you into a room where they check your "areas" and they take note of everything.
It was annoying because I have stretch marks and they asked if I was fat at some point and they didn't believe me when I said "no, I always had them."
But whatever, I'm here. I still made it.
You also have a small physical test that determines when you ship out. If you're really bad, like you dont get enough crunches and pull ups or pushups, you'll be trained more and they'll set a later date for you to get shipped out.
If you're really good, you'll leave a lot sooner!
That's all I have for you guys for today, have a very happy new years! Hope all is well.
Xoxo
