Part 6: School
After MCT comes your school, where you learn how to do your job.
Currently, I'm going to school in Mississippi. The most boring, weather bipolar place on this planet. But it's kinda decent.
The scenery is nice, some of the boys are cute....not that that matters because you're there for SCHOOL, to FOCUS and do WORK.
But anyways....
I haven't picked up classes yet. I've been here since January 28 and it is currently April 12, so as you can imagine I am sick of this place.
I'm in a group called a holding platoon, where it's just a platoon that does working parties, cleans, police calls, and pt, do a bunch of dumb things just to keep us busy until we pick up.
I pick up next week, finally. And all the friends I made here are already basically done with their classes and its depressing as fuck because we're all so close. And I've never gotten along with a group of people like this, our relationship is so amazing and it kinda hurts to see them leave before me, especially because I was here way longer than them. AND ILL STILL BE HERE. UGH.
That's one of the crappy things about the marine corps. You go somewhere and make friends and build strong bonds and relationships only to leave and loose those bonds and relationships and start all over again. Don't get me wrong, some of the relationships you build will last a lifetime.
So when you're at your school house you have to keep up with yourself. What I mean by that is, you're responsible for your own health. So you are the only one who can keep yourself in shape, be healthy, STAY healthy, and hydrate!! You have no idea how important it is to hydrate! I've learned the hard way, and I'm still learning. It's a struggle to hydrate here, because we dont do much physical stuff. It's just the heat that gets to me but still!
Warm weather is coming around the corner and I better start hydrating now before it's too late haha....
So this is an update!
Today is may 7
I finally picked up class :)
It's been a week since I've started classes, onto the second week already. And time is flying by so fast. Which is a good thing. :)
Mostly All my friends left and I miss them already. Hope to see them again somewhere down the road. Wish them luck.
And now all that's left to focus on is work! My class is very stressful! Had a test on all of chapter 1 the first day! Phew! This is insane....anyways....my goal is the be top of the class. If not then I at least want to be top 6. I need good grades, or else i wont get where i want to go.
Wish me luck.
