Chapter 06

AAHANA'S POV

" Yes sir. Please don't be . It's ok . Sure. I am very happy to hear about it" my dad spoke over phone with Soham's dad.

" What is it? What happened??" I asked him.

" He is going to release after one month. He passed some exams so they are considering to reduce his term to only one month" dad said while I jumped in joy!

" Aahu, sit down" dad spoke seriously.

" Yes dad?" I asked him.

" I know you are going to teach them just to see Soham" he started.

" It's not like that dad.." I trailed.

" I know the truth, you were not interested to go initially but after your first visit, I can say it's only for Soham" he said .

" Hmmmm" I said as I have no words it's true, I went there only to look at him.

" Now that he will be releasing soon. I want you to hand over the job to someone else. New batch will start after whatever final exam they are conducting. So it's better if you stop" he suggested.

" What happened?" I questioned him.

" We want you to get married. It's right age for you. You working there may not get us good alliances. I am not saying it's bad thing but it's rare of people to understand your cause. Since Soham won't be there and you will be back to sulking how boring it is to teach without him, I suggest you quit going there after his release. " He said.

" But dad marriage? So early?" I asked him

" We won't force you. If we start seeing now, we will be able to get someone by next year. What do you say?" He asked me.

" I will try .. but I don't  want to get married but because Soham won't be there anymore!" I said smiling at him.

" Yeah, sure dear" he winked at me.

I went to my room, closed and locked my room door and jumped in excitement with little dance added to it. I am so happy for him. He doesn't even know that I was praying for some miracle to happen!

" Thank you Hanu bhayya! " I said folding my hands infront of lord Hanuman. I smiled looking at him.

I wonder what did he do that he is in jail? Did he kill someone? I heard his lawyer arguing that Soham was framed . But in doing what? I always knew him as calm person with no fights . I can punch or hit someone and even use some abusive swearing towards anyone who's mean to me but not Soham !

UNKNOWN POV

" Where is she now??"

" At her home sir"

" Did she visit jail today??"

" No sir , she has class next week"

" Did you get any information about his release??"

" Yes sir , reduced to one month"

" Hmm  this time , I should do something which makes him think I am backing away . Keep an eye on that girl for me "

SOHAM'S POV

" Bye mate !" Pankaj slapped my back hard smiling widely.

" See you soon " I replied.

" I wish I take that final exams here , do you think I should stay back and attend them ? I mean I can get job right??" He questioned me.

" You got job already . Work hard there , I wish you never come back to this place" I replied .

" Yes I don't want to! Even you won't be there with me !" He joked walking away from me.

" Bye " I mumbled looking at his retreating back.

3 weeks

I should be here for three more weeks.

" Get on with your work !" I heard incharge shouting at me and I walked back to my cell .

" Missing him already?" I heard someone asking and I just smiled.

" Waiting for your figure huh? " Someone pushed walking past me.

Figure?

Anger bubbled in me and I lifted my head to look at that bastard who spoke badly about my Aahana.

" Sheez is she that hot ?" Other guy who was walking beside him questioned.

" Yes , she wears these sexy sarees and man! Her -" he tried to continue but I hit his head so hard that he collapsed on the floor unconscious.

" Next time talk about her , I will definitely kill you" I warned looking at his friend who was scared to death.

" What is happening here  ? What happened to him??" Jailer questioned as I stood there looking at him.

" S..ssir we were playing that's all, he is not well " his friend answered a bit scared.

" Why is his head bleeding??" Jailer questioned looking for his breath.

" Because he fell just like that " his friend answered.

" Did he hit him?" Jailer asked pointing his finger at me. I was calm. If he asks me , I am going to say truth . I can do anything for the people I love and law is equal to everyone. I will go through the punishment for hitting him if I have to .

" No . He was just walking behind us " his friend answered. Medical team came and took him away.

" W..we are sorry." He apologized.

" She teaches here. She's your guru. Respect her. " I replied walking past them into my cell.

" Guards ! Where were you? Why is no one here ??"

" Sorry sir , we just went for tea break!"

I heard voices while I leaned against the wall thinking about her. She will visit us tomorrow , this week might be her last week to teach us.

' you cannot save every person ! '
He said .

' I can if I have to' I replied.

' she will be dead as this one ' he pointed his finger at the picture laying on my table .

' you will be going to jail for killing him! You will suffer !' he spoke angrily.

' I wish I go there , karma is a bitch it will get back to you' I replied.

' by the time you come out , I will wipe off every person I wanted to kill' he said .

He can be monstrous if wants to be. I am very lucky to find out his cruel intentions. Who expected Aahana will be involved in this? It's good that she's teaching here. I am relieved to see her fine every time she comes here. I opened my eyes finding my plate of food being thrown inside my cell. I smiled looking at the way I am living now. Every person has their ups and downs . Look at mine! Never mind though, I am not ashamed to stay here. Our judiciary system can't give right judgement to every person who is at fault, so it's obvious that people like me will get punished for carrying out their work.
