Chapter 13

AAHANA'S POV

Oh crap! 

I woke with a jerk and looked around suddenly remembering Soham's call two days ago.  He asked me to meet him and I totally forgot to call him back! 

What will he think??

"Aahana!  Get up!  You need meet Spandan " my mom shouted banging on my door. 

Who is he now??

Feeling disoriented I walked out of my bed towards my window to look at climate.  It's pleasant.  Realisation dawned upon me that Spandan is the guy whom I should meet. 

Arranged date..

I scoffed and decided to freshen up. Thoughts flowed through my brain regarding Soham. He seems calm but he is not, talks as if nothing is affecting him but I can see he's hiding whatever it is.  We never spoke during or after my school time.  When I was in college he hardly appeared in front of me.  We know each other but at the same time we don't know. I find it mysterious as he never took interest in anyone's life before. All he had was one friend with whom he spoke. How come he suddenly wants to be me my friend? Help my family to find some buffoon for me? I think it's his way of showing gratitude! 

Well, who wants it? 

Now that we are friends, can I ask him why was he in jail??

"Aahana! Come out! It's been an hour! " my mom shouted banging on my door. 

"What is it?" I opened looking seriously at her.

"Why do you close your door?" she asked me same question.

"Whats the use? I can hear your annoying voice even then! It's like you are shouting in my ear" I replied poking my tongue out.

"Listen,talk with him properly, no one is forcing you to get married. Don't show unnecessary attitude.  We will never force you to marry someone ok? If that guy is creepy,  message me or dad, we will come and pick you up.You don't need to answer to him about topics which you don't like.Got it? " my mom spoke with worried tone. She might be strict but I am glad she is  understanding. 

"I am prepared for my viva mom. Don't worry. Chill." I said slinging bag over my shoulder after getting dressed up. 

" Takecare. You have wallet right? Do let us know what's happening " he hurriedly walked behind me. 

" Just chill!  I am going to reject him anyway! " I shouted over my shoulder banging the door shut.  I knew mom will freak out. As I walked towards my car,  I realised one of the tyre is flat since two days. 

" Offo! I hate this! " I whined looking at my car.

"Aahu,  your car is not working " my dad came standing behind me.

" Oh you saw it. Fine. Take care. All the best " he said turning back.

"Drop me dad!  Please!" I begged running behind him.

" You have so many apps!  Book in that Swiggy app, you will get within five minutes " he joked sitting on sofa.

"Swiggy is food app dad! " I shouted jumping in my place.

"Oh really? Then take lift from Swiggy,  I see them so often around our house.  I am sure someone will help you " he replied.

"Dad please!  Cabs take so much of time!" I said

" If your car is working,  it will also take same amount of time or more considering the fact that you ride at very minimum speed " he snickered laughing at his own stupid joke.
