Joey POV

I woke up to Seto mumbling. "What? What are ya sayin?"

"Hmm?" Seto woke up, "what? I didn't say anything."

"Haha, sure. I asked you to marry me last night."

"What?!" Seto shouted while kicking the blanket off and falling off the bed. "What?"

"Hahahahahahaha!!!!"

"Why are you laughing?"

"Because fancy pants, YOU said yes! And don't remember!" I hollered with laughter.

"That's not funny!"

"Oh hush," I got out of bed and pulled Seto close to me. "You were asleep and it doesn't count."

"I think it should." Seto mumbled Pushing his head into my neck. 

"It's okay. I just wanted to see what you'd say." I kissed the side of his face.

"You didn't mean it?" Blue eyes met brown.

"Eh. No I did. I don't know." I shrugged.

"What does that mean?" Blue eyes full of confusion.

"Seto. Look, I don't know. I've said it before and it still sounds weird but I love you. I didn't mean it as a joke." Kaiba pushed away from me.

"I need to think about things. I need privacy." Blue eyes full of hurt.

"Okay. I understand. I'll take a walk." I was just as confused as Seto was. I put on some clothes and slipped my phone into my jacket pocket. "Hey?"

"What?"

"I love you, Seto."

"I need to think about some things."

"Okay." I said closing the door to our room. Well fuck me I guess. I left and took a walk.

I found myself going to the sushi place. I don't know how long I was there before I ordered a drink instead of getting food. "Vodka please?" The barmaid gave me a knowing look but didn't say anything. "Six please."

This time she opened her mouth but closed it and nodded. The barmaid stood across from me with six shots lined up. The first four went down no problem. I was so angry and upset I didn't care about anything.  Finally the barmaid spoke.

"Are you alright, hun?"

"I don't think so. I fucked up. I don't know."

"I'm sure you don't need someone telling you what to do but I'm not giving you anymore shots." She said warily.

I waved my hand, "Nah that's okay. I'm probably not gonna drunk those."

"Drunk those?" She started laughing. "I think you are drunk. So what's wrong hun?"

"Ahh. The person I'm in love with thinks I'm a fuckin idiot."

"Well she'll come around,"

"Ha yeah, it's a guy though." I laughed and rolled my eyes.

"Really?" Her eyes grew wide.

"Yeah and I feel worse because of who he is. I can't tell ya though."

"Mmm, creepy older politician?" She winked.

"Hahaha. No, somethin like that but he's not a politician. He wouldn't have the patience."

"You seem familiar?" The woman studied my face.

"I'm just a guy from Brooklyn." I shrugged again.
