Seto POV
I saw Joey get taken down by an officer and handcuffed along with the man who had tried to rob me. I kicked my door open and calmly approached Joey who was sitting on the sidewalk curb by the store with an officer standing by.

"Are you okay?" I asked as I knelt down.

"Yeah, I'm good. Didn't want him to hurt ya," he smiled. "Think ya can get me out of this?"

"Anything for you," I whispered and I kissed his forehead.

"Mr. Kaiba!" Someone finally noticed I was with Joey.

"I want him released now." I said firmly, pointing to Joey.

"Uh, sorry sir we can't-"

"Excuse me, you can't release him? Why not?"

"He had a firearm, sir."

Joey had a gun? Where did he get that!? I had to think quickly, "Of course he did!!! He's my new personal bodyguard you fucking moron! This piece of shit," I screamed and pointed to the other man who was detained, "tried to rob me! Now! What should I have done? Waited for you to show up? OF COURSE NOT. Release him now or I'll have your resignation within the hour and my legal team up your ass!" I was over the top angry.

"Of- of course sir! we will need to keep his firearm though. He may pick it up at a later date."

And just like that, my boyfriends handcuffs were removed and we were on our way, "oh shit! I forgot the beer, cmon, come inside with me this time!" Joey laughed nervously. I bought a bottle of vodka and a bottle of whiskey, Joey grabbed his beer and we headed to the game shop.
"I'm not upset." I reassured him.

"Oh thank god! That's a huge relief. I was worried,"

"Nope. Let's go." I said kissing Joey when we walked up to the game shop.

We entered with an extra key Joey had and went straight upstairs.

"Joey! Kaiba!" Yugi shouted running over to us, "Hey! Happy birthday Kaiba!!"

"Thank you, Yugi." I smiled.

"Woah! You're smiling!? You sure are serious Kaiba." Yugi joked.

"Ya don't know the half of it! Woah! Hey! Everyone's here! Yami, Téa, Duke, Tristan, Serenity, Mokuba, Bakura and Ryou! Holy shit guys! I didn't know ya were throwin a party!!"

"We wouldn't miss this!" Téa cried.

"This is super iconic!" Tristan added.

"Why what? What is this?" Joey asked, looking at all his friends.

"Well, it's not just Kaibas birthday, Joey." Yami explained. "It's also a party for the two of you, a uh, how do you say it Yugi? A closet party?"

Yugi's face was so red it rivaled the shade of ripened tomatoes. "No! It's a coming out party!"

"Where did I get closet party?" Yami asked confused.

"Probably because 'coming out' and 'in the closet' are in the same group of phrases?" Mokuba offered and everyone else nodded in agreement.

"So uh, Joey can I talk to you?" Duke asked.

"Sure, what's up man?"

"Let's talk over here," Duke led Joey to the small "kitchen" area of the upstairs.

"Uh, this is a little awkward but you and Mai broke up and um I started seeing her." Duke rubbed the back of his neck.

"Oh. Uh. Ya know that's okay. She's a real great woman. I miss her sometimes. I mean don't get me wrong! I'm in love with Seto!"  Joey tripped over his words.
