A/N You're gonna be mad.

Joey POV

So we had been married nearly a month. Life was good. I had Seto and we both had Fuzz. In the weeks leading up to today, not much had happened. It was my birthday and Seto had to work. I didn't mind though. I had made plans with everyone to go to the mall and hang out. After walking Fuzz around the mansion, I decided to work out. I didn't like thinking it, but I was getting pudgy.

Seto said I was silly and he wouldn't hear of me calling myself fat. I thought back to our conversation a few days ago.

"Hey, ya think these pants look too tight?"

"No? I think they look fine. Why?" Seto crossed his arms.

" I think I'm gettin fat," I frowned.

"You are absolutely not getting fat."

"Well I think I am, so there."

"Joseph, I'll divorce you if you continue this nonsense about being fat." Seto said matter of factly, ending the conversation.

After I worked out, I took a shower and picked out some clothes to wear. Roland had agreed to take care of Fuzz while we were gone this evening, he didn't mind, he loved the dog. It was 2 PM and I was taking one of Setos limos today. I got to the game shop and picked everyone up. Mai, Duke, Tristan, Téa, Yami and Yugi.

"So, where's Bakura?" I asked to no one in particular.

"Ryou is sick, so Bakura won't let anyone near him." Téa answered.

"That's a shame," Yugis expression soured.

"So what do you want to do today, Joey?" Tristan asked me.

"Eh, as long as I'm with my friends, we could do anythin." I smiled. I texted Seto.

Joey: I miss you.

Seto: I know. I'm sorry. I'll be done before you know it.

"Oh don't worry Hun," Mai saw me fidgeting. "He'll make it, eventually."

"I know, just, I don't know ya guys." I said honestly.

"Joey, I've known you a long time. I know you love Kaiba. All of us can tell." Yugi gave me a smile.

My time at the mall was great. We still got mobbed occasionally by a rogue fan girl or fan boy, but it was worth it.

"I think I wanna get a job ya guys." I blurted out at the burger restaurant we stopped at after the mall.

"Where?" Yami asked.

"I wanna work with Seto." I laughed. "I know it sounds lame but I wanna be more than just his husband."

"Have you talked to him about it?" Téa looked at me.

"No, I don't know how to bring it up. I mean, I kinda mentioned I wouldn't mind seein what it's like to be a Dad,"

Everyone cut me off with "What!?" Or "when!?" And strange looks.

"Last month. I tell him I wanna see what it's like to be a Dad and then he gets me a dog." I rubbed my eyes. "I'm not complainin, I love Fuzz but still. I wanna do somethin with my life."

"You should talk to him about it Joey," Yugi said, "you could work at the game shop if you wanted."

"It's not ideal, but we wouldn't mind seeing you more often," Yami added, "and we still have your motorcycle."
