I woke up and my head was pounding. I rolled over to look at the clock and saw it was 11:58 pm. Christ I overslept, I only meant to take a nap, I don't remember what time we laid down but it was around 2 PM, I think. Wow, I smiled to myself. What a sweetheart.

I rolled out of bed and took the aspirin. Picking up my phone, I needed to talk to someone, Mai. She flashed in my head. Would she be mad? This late? Probably. I could call Téa. Well, nah I would see her in a few days anyway. Just let it go Joey. The box. "Let's see what's in ya? Huh?" I opened the box, screamed and dropped it. It was a dark metal, with rubies and diamonds covering the entire band. "Oh fuckin- Jesus Christ." I looked on the inside and sure enough, there was the engraving.

Pocketing the ring, I got dressed and went downstairs, stopping in the kitchen I grabbed some leftover pizza and a grilled salmon salad. Tossing it all in a lunchbox, grabbing the keys to 'My BMW', I headed to KaibaCorp.

The drive was quick, using my security card, I entered and headed right to Setos office. Either he must've not have heard me approaching, unlikely, or he knew it was me and didn't care because I could hear him on the phone arguing with someone. Taking a breath, I opened the door.

Seto looked up at me and love and relief flooded his dark blue eyes.

"I have to go." Seto said before hanging up. "Are you feeling better?" Seto stood up.

"Yeah, sit down, I'm walkin over there." I warned. "Here," I pulled the salmon salad out of the lunch box and set in on the desk.

Seto chuckled. "You're absolutely amazing, did you know that?"

"Eh, well, ya see, there's this man in my life that tells me that a lot, so yeah I knew that." I smiled before planting a kiss on Setos temple.

Seto grabbed my collar and pulled me closer, "He does?"

I nodded.

"So this man, does he love you?" Seto played.

"Of course. Guy is a class act."

"Oh speaking of, here," Seto pulled a desk drawer open and handed me my pistol.

"OH THANKS!" I picked my P226 up and cradled it like a baby. "Did ya miss Daddy? Hmmm?" I popped the clip out and the chambered bullet, setting them on the desk, I turned my phone flashlight on and looked down the barrel, "well someone needs to be cleaned."

"Did.... did you just talk to your gun?"

"Uhhh yeah. So?" I blushed.

"I just didn't know I fell in love with such a weirdo."

"Oh just eat your food. I'm positive ya skipped dinner, like you're so romantic."

"I know right? I'm amazing. You're right about dinner, I did skip. I'm sorry. I didn't want to wake you up so as soon as you fell asleep, I headed here for last minute things with the Gala." Seto explained as he popped his salad open.
