It's a new day.
A new day at work.
And a new day to see Ed.

Ever since I observed Ed for real, he's all I can think about. I know that sounds so cliché, as if I'm some highschool girl. But hey! crushes make you go all butterflies at any possible age.

And somehow I tried to dress up in my best attire, yes I'm talking about the turquoise dress my mom was offering me.

"So does this makes me look more of a lady? Do I look beautiful now?" I said while staring at my reflection in the mirror.

"More of a lady? Absolutely, and beautiful? in my opinion you looked as beautiful in those pyjamas yester night as you do now." Jason said, as he appeared standing with a tilt and hands folded, in a corner of my room.

"Thank You, but what are you doing here excatly?"

"Well I just wanted to see if you will come to work considering the fact that there's this spirit waiting for you there." He said giving me a smile.

"See Jason, I've been dealing with ghosties all my life, so me being scared? Ha! No chance. Besides you don't look that terrifying for a ghost, you totally need to work on that." I said as I picked up my bag and sunglasses

"I wasn't expecting scared, just second thoughts about our deal. Glad to know you're still on it." He was kind of pleased to know it.

"...and actual can you stop calling me a 'ghost' like for real, I know I'm dead but spirit sounds more uh respectful." he added.

I walked out of my room waving a bye at him.

So I was informed that, we were going to work on the cover story for the next month. Ed selected me to be in the team, and hopefully this was my chance to show him that he made the right decision of having me. I wasn't expecting to blow his mind or something but well we can say that's exactly what I was wanting.

"So we meet again." Jason said as he appeared before my desk

"Of course Jason, what else do you expect? So tell me have you been to Ed's meeting rooms before?"

"I might have." Jason tried to sound hard to get but then again he has to help me, we had a deal.

"What kind of responses he likes? You know like the quick thinkers or the thoughtful ones or the serious types or should I just agree to what he says?" I desperately questioned

"I like women who speak up their mind, less influenced by others opinions and having words of their own" he replied

"I suppose, I didn't really ask for your standards."

"You see beagle, you can just be yourself out there, I'm sure he'll like it that way better." he concluded

"That wasn't really helpful at all but I've to get going for my first meeting now."

…......…....…..............................................

It wasn't a huge stereotypical conference room as I expected it to be. There were these mini chairs placed in U-shape, facing a projector screen for presentations obviously and a chair facing at ours for Ed, I suppose.

Even so, the room gave serious vibes enough to make a newbie like me nervous. Infact I was nervous, was I expected to prepare something? I have no ideas, should I even be here? I was so confused, one mistake and my chance with the man of my dreams could totally shatter.

"Morning everyone, so nice to see all these active faces." Ed entered the room with a smile that could pierce hearts, in a good way of course.

"Good Morning" we all said in harmony.
