OLIVE
On our way back to New York City, nothing was the same. Sure, I still had my vision but it felt like a part of me was left behind. And I knew it was because of him, because Jason was left behind. God knows where but I couldn't find him no matter how hard I tried. I asked every ghost in the cemetery but they all said the very same line, they've got no clue about such a dead man. I had understood that none would actually tell me his whereabouts.
Back in office I've had a lot of pending work do to. As of Ed, I heard he left that very night after he was seen being irresistible and terrified. So I decided that, I'll probably catch him up in office itself and maybe ask what went wrong that night. So we reached back home, I made my way to my room, threw my backpack in a corner and laid down on bed staring at the ceiling, wonder where would he be or how would he be doing? I slept there and then as much as I remember. It was office the next day after all.

Today we were to have the monthly issue of our magazine hit the stands. I should be happy to have my very first co-written cover story article out, for an intern dreaming to become permanent this could be a big step. When I came here at this office there weren't many people I wanted to share this moment with expect my family, who weren't actually bothered or interested about my career choices considering the fact that I come from a family where I should rather be working on the family business. But then Jason gave me a reason to make my first article more memorable. To be able to help this girl who has been wandering for so long. I should be happy that even though Jason isn't here to celebrate he'll be glad about his friend.
Seeing people read your work and pick up the magazine you work for is one undeniably magical feeling. Like hey there are you reading that magazine? Oh guess what? I WROTE IN THERE. I walked in the office and picked up my own copy of the magazine waiting on my desk. I tore off the plastic seal and turn to my article. "Fights Unknown" read the headline, stories of women that were left unsaid. I was waiting for everyone to read and Grace to get the justice she deserved. Well I read, "Sofia Merly........yeah yeah.....Miranda.......down down...." That's it? Those are all of the stories? Where's Grace? I can't believe her part was blown off. I went to Ed's office to confirm. No, not about why he went away from Kingston but where is Grace's part?
I knocked the door when his voice came out, "Come on in." He was sitting in his chair looking deep at the magazine, looking exactly like the chief editor should look like. Anyhow, I walked inside and tried to get his attention.
"Excuse me, uhm-Ed." I mumbled
"Yes?" He said then after realising it was me, he picked up his head and gave out a huge smile, "Oh Olive, its you. Did you check the magazine? Your name is finally there, Congratulations!" he said
Oh my god! Why is he being such a sweet munch, I've to tell him that I'm dissatisfied with the article.
"Uhm thanks." I replied
"So you're here to say something?" I asked very casually.
"Yes, uhm-actually, uhm-nevermind." I fumbled and walked out of his office
Ugh! I feel so frustrated, I need to do this. I went back in because no matter what I had to ask him, the life of a dead girl depends on this. As crazier as it sounds, it is the truth, a truth that only I could understand, or he would and though he wasn't here this is what he would expect me to do. I knocked again and peeked inside, "uhm-Ed?"
"Yes, Olive I knew you weren't complete, don't hesitate and tell me what is it about.?"
I walked inside and took a deep breath. "So the story about this girl Grace is missing."
