JASON

I wouldn't lie, somewhere deep inside I knew Olive and Edward would be together but there was a part of me that didn't wish it would happen. Even though, figuring out a reason why I was having such thoughts was still unknown to me, I couldn't stop myself from feeling this way. Deep inside I know I'm nothing but a spirit but she makes me forget that, with her I feel alive again. I don't remember my past but somehow my heart feels that it doesn't matter much because my present is Olive, and she is a part of my everyday haunting life now.

Ed and Olive said their goodnight wishes as he left her at her doorsteps and then she waved him bye. We entered inside the house and she seemed pretty overwhelmed.

Olive was too tired and came straight to her room to sleep, she was used to having me hanging out in her room and house by now, maybe because I was just another spirit to her who wasn't really interest to hurt her or create any mess, someone whose wandering was ignorable. I couldn't sleep that night, kept staring at the stars filled sky for too long, wondering what's up there and why am I still not transformed into one of those but then having blurry remembrance of how I used to observe these gas balls from my telescope when I alive. It took me less than a second to understand that I had a memory, I was interested in looking up the sky, this had me excited and I wanted to tell Olive but she was asleep. Being irresistible I decided to loiter around the house to divert my mind.

I walked down the stairs to the hall and then to the rooms when I saw Mr. and Mrs. Wright having an argument. It was the first time I came to know that Olive's mother was called Darcy and father was Theo which probably stood for Theodore.

"Why don't you understand Theo, we need to find a solution for her problem. We can't leave our little girl to deal with such a curse alone." She said, throwing a pillow to the head of the bed then climbing by next to Mr. Wright

"She told you just yesterday that everything is fine and she is keeping herself out of trouble." He replied back, while adjusting his specks as he read a book lying in bed

"I know she's not okay" she replied

"How can you say that when she clearly stated-" he was interrupted by his wife

"That's because I'm her mother! And I know when my child is lying." She commented strongly

"But-" Mr. Wright was about to put his words in the argument he wasn't much interested in.

"WHY DON'T YOU UNERSTAND?" Mrs. Wright said snatching the book away from him.

I was not the kind of spirit that eve dropped people, especially when they were having personal talks in their bedrooms but this seemed important, it felt like Olive was going through some serious condition and I wasn't ready to leave my girl alone and neither was her mother.

"Would you lower down your voice Darcy, you don't want to wake Oli up, and return back my book." He said with authority, not to mention I haven't seen Mr. Wright speak much for as long as I have been around here.

"You know that how it all happened and she has been going through these visitations as she calls them since she was just five. It was difficult back then being an outcaste in her friend circle but being an outcaste in the society of adults would be a whole different level of difficult." She said with tears coming out of her eyes rolling down to her cheeks.

It was during this conversations of the Wrights did I get to know that it all began when Olive was five years old during the funeral of her late grandmother Mrs. Elizabeth Wright, she was a well know personality of the aristocratic society as well, I've seen her huge portrait hanging on one of the walls of the main sitting hall of the house. Her parents talked about how Olive got lost in the graveyard and was later found playing under an oak tree near the age old graves. Little did they know that she wasn't just playing but talking to something their bare eyes couldn't see.

Olive started to show some abnormal characteristic and her temperature was always cold as ice. No matter how many doctors they changed they could not bring little Oli back to normal, until they found out that her condition was something more than what medical could treat. It was then when they took her to Father D'Mello for the first time ever. He did tell them frightening fact about the existence of spirits that even the bible approves of. But not all spirits are holy. And who would know it better than me as I've met many of them, some good who would help me and some bad who were ready to harm me and mtyx who would enjoy feeding on me or any other soul for that matter, can't definitely be good spirits.

Olive was helped by father D'Mello in the best way possible. She was possessed and he was able to take out the nasty spirit from her but he couldn't help her throughout. Must have been a painful session for Olive, no wonder why she doesn't feel positive enough to go to the sexton. As helpful as the sexton was in removing the soul out of her body, the spirit left a part of its eyes with Olive, like leaving behind the visionary power to see the supernatural and she has been dealing with this curse ever since.

"I want you to tell Olive that we're going to father D'Mello this weekend." Mrs. Wright said, still drowning herself in tears.

"If that's what you want, we'll go." Mr. Wright said giving his wife a gentle hug. The visible misery of the parents for their daughter made me feel very sorry for them. Furthermore, Olive was unaware about the reason behind everything she was facing, I sat on the window couch back in Olive's room, thinking of the delicate situation she was wrapped in, not realising when I fell asleep.

Gracie was wandering down the isolated streets, the night was inky and hushed, she was taking savour of her own company before she would have a new existence anytime soon. She heard trembling noise followed by cries of a man, he appeared to be shorter than the man who was holding his collar and giving him a shake. They were in a hustle in which the taller one seemed to be dominating.

"Where is the box?" He asked

"I won't let you have it." The shorter one replied

It wasn't clearly visible as to what were those two upto because it was pitch dark and the only light available was that of the passing cars on the road. Gracie stood there watching when she noticed that the tall guy pushed the man hard enough for him to fall down on the disposed trash, on the sharp piece of glass that lied there but suddenly stood up straight and went right through the man cutting him apart as the blood oozed from his stomach. Gracie panicked when a car passed by flashing the light right on the face of the murderer, to her surprise it was Edward Posey of 'The Entertainer'. Gracie rattled down the street with terror inside her, she didn't have a heart but the feeling of the heart skiping a beat with fear was prominent to her.

"I better find Jason, he needs to know this." She said to herself as she hurried to find him

But she could hear clear footsteps, like someone was following her down the street, she wanted to turn around to check for who it was but was too terrified to do so.

She tried to teleport herself when she felt a tight grip on her wrist and in no time she disappeared in thin air.

Nobody knew where she went, mainly because nobody could see her and for the world she was already dead but surely something wasn't in its rightful place.
