JASON

"Sometimes, the only way to protect the ones you care about is to let go of them."

This wasn't the first time Olive had such deadly encounter and all because of my absence. No matter how much of a conflict we get into, I should stick around her till she gets rid of her vision. This is the least I can do for her before I hopefully move on. But then there are times when I don't want to move on, I know the whole idea of meeting Olive was to get away from this haunting life but now I feel like I should be near her to protect her and look after her. Yes, I do realise this isn't my concern but yet I'm concerned and I can't understand why, And yet there are moments when I feel like my presence in her life puts her in much more danger than she would be without me. Why does she affects me so much? Why!

Anyway, you know what they say 'food fixes fear', Alright maybe they don't say it, but we decided to grab a bite out somewhere in the town after the much dreadful experience we had at the cemetery. We found an old diner where Olive remembered coming with her grandmother.

"Eat something, you'll feel better." I told her as we found a table to sit.

She glanced outside the side window, and I knew she was terrified inside. This was something beyond her grip and she had no clue why was she being attacked by mtyx so often now.

"Hm..." she gave out a sound

"Eh.. Olive, muchkin, I think you will have to order here, they can't actually see me." I reminded her as she turned her face towards me again

"Oh right, I'm so sorry." She said and gave a faded smile, "excuse me" she called for the waitress, "Can we-" she noticed the confused look at the waitress' face and then remembered what I just told her. "Can I get two bacon cheeseburgers?"

"Two?" The waitress made a confirmation call

"Oh yeah two you see I'm really hungry." Olive said feeling awkward,
"And two-" I think she felt embarassed this time and asked for just one coke
The waitress went away and she asked me to share. I laughed at the thought of how silly she must be feeling doing all this but she still does for me and its in some way is quite cute. She then came with our order.

"Two burgers and a coke." The waitress said and took a leave

"Excuse me" Olive called out and made the waitress turn back, "you didn't gave a straw" she said with a smile as she hid the already given straw. And I could observe how pissed off the waitress was from all the confuse.

"Yes I did" the waitress counter backed

"No you didn't" Olive said

"Yes I did"

"No".

"Yes"

"Fine then can I have another one please." Olive ended the argument

"Yes you can." The waitress said and left

I could stop but stare at Olive's face and giggling to the mild argue she caught herself up just now, so as to provide me with a straw.

"What? You don't want to drink coke" she said lauging at me

"Yes of course, thanks" I said as I leaned on the table, I was so happy to see the terrified look vanish from her face.

She started digging up her food then gave me a look as to why I wasn't eating

"You've to offer me before I can eat." I said

"Oh yes, I knew it!" She said and offered me my plate and coke.

She bent down to take a sip of the coke, coincidently just when I took my straw too and I could look straight into her gleaming eyes, it was the first time her face was this close to mine and all I could notice was how clearly beautiful every detail and feature of her face were. It all felt so warm until I saw this man again, it was Edward and this time Olive saw him too. He casually walked inside the diner. He was wearing a long coat and I remembered it from yesterday. I think now she will believe what I said. He walked to the waitress probably ordering his food and then just when she was showing him his seat, which pretty obvious was out of her attraction towards the handsomely personality he was, he turned his head to Olive with total astonishment.
