Chapter Twenty Four

JASON

We were ready for exocism, but only one thing was in our way, to get the pen that stores the mytx's life.

"What are we waiting for Father?" I asked him

"There's something you should be aware about, we no more have Olive's vision to see the evil, its like shooting an arrow in the dark and all we can do is best hope for it to hit the target." Father said

It took us a moment to realize that our enemy isn't visible to us anymore and it will be a harder fight.

"I think you should drop me at the exact same place in the woods, we need Edward as I saw the pen in his coat." Olive said

"No there's no way I'm putting you in this risky situation Oli." I told her

"Well we don't have any other choice, do we?" She argued back

"Only if you let me come along." I told her and we drove all the way back to the woods, and then Olive decided to go back all by herself while I hid behind to observe.

"Alright Jason, stay low. We've to get the pen as well as Edward back to the house." She told me and I hide myself behind the trees

She kept walking for afar until she saw Edward standing with his back taking support of a tree

"Welcome back, little Oli. I knew you'd come back. Why you here? For this?" He asked showing the pen to her, Olive tried to skip and snatch it but was thrown away by some external force. I wanted come out and help here but risking the plan wasn't a good idea at this point.

"Hey, we can talk." Olive said and tried to get up from the ground.

"Oh sure what do you want to talk about? Me taking over your body? Don't worry, it will be a small process." he said coming for Oli and place her hand on her forehead, then started chanted something and it felt like life is oozing out of her. This was my shot and I had to make it

I started moving behind the trees and sneaked closer to the two of them. While Olive kept him engaged I jumped in and snatched the pen that was in his upper pocket. Next thing we knew was Father D'Mello running a holy circle with some powder and kept chanting bible verses, in no time the mytx was feeling helplessly attacked. We had this planned through this time. I switched open my light and started to burn the pen while Father carried on with the exorcism, the mytx tried to walk out of the circle or what appeared like he was being pulled outside by some force, just when Olive dragged herself somehow and pushed him back in.

"Go to hell!!!!" She shouted and in no time, Edward's lifeless body lied on the ground and the mytx blew off like the darkest shadow to exists, it was time for it to finally move on...to afterlife. And as for Edward, unfortunately he died a mystery.

"Olive..." I said and ran and hugged her tight, "Are you okay?" I asked

"No, he broke my nail, see!" Olive said lifting her hand and showing it to me and we giggled tired yet relieved

OLIVE

"Oh f- I'm late for work." I said as I jumped out of bed running to take a shower, four months since the incident and life was back on road.

"Jason, JASON" I said trying to wake him up as I got dressed up for my work, yeah another magazine but not as an internship but a full time journalist.

"Yes baby" Jason said rubbing his eyes as he lifted his head of the pillow.

"I'm running late, wake up you've work too." I gave a peck of kiss on his lips, "I'll see you in evening."

In the evening I sat at our place, in the very same garden, on the swing looking Jason's way, I turned to the left and saw a guy stand by my side.

"So what's with you?" I asked

"Died in road accident few hours ago." He said

"I'm sorry" I said

"Yeah that's okay, probably stuck here only till my funeral." He replied

"Of course." I said with a smile

I saw Jason walk towards me.

"You're late." I said

"I'm sorry, got caught up with work." He said with a smile and sat in the swing near me

He kept his peace for few minutes and then said, "so you still see them?"

"Yeah" I replied without looking at him

"How?" He asked

"Remember the final day, I knew it my vision isn't gone and I will require it to defeat Edward, so I didn't tell you guys about it." I said

"And?"

"And the time Edward was trying to get out of the circle, I saw spirits pull him outside, is why I pushed him back." I told

"I just want you to be safe." He said holding my hand

"Its a part of me now Jason and I know you will keep me safe." I said as I kept my head on his shoulders and stared at the stars.

"Let's grab a bite somewhere." Jason said

"Mr. Salvador, you always know what makes me happy." I said, hearing the mention of food

"Its a fiancé's job to take care of his woman." He said and then kissed me tight, oh what a kisser! but I'm expecting a deeper kiss at the chapel. on our wedding day.

We got up and walked towards the car

"How about we ditch dinner and eat pizza?" Jason said

"I love pizza, I love you." I said with whole lot of excitement of a foodie.

"I love you too baby." Jason said

And we went away in his car.
