"In a daze, going crazed, I can barely think. You're replaying in my brain, find it hard to sleep, oh oh. Waiting for my phone to blow." Brokenhearted, Karmin

Jordan’s P.O.V

The next morning I was allowed to finally leave the hospital. Thank goodness. That place gives me the creeps. Rachael and Heather came to pick me up that morning and take me back to the hotel to rest for a bit.

Times like this, Bruno Mars’ “The Lazy Song” just perfectly suits me. I could lay in bed all day and do nothing.

“Ohh my bed! How I missed you so!” I gasped when Heather unlocked the door to our hotel room and I laid my eyes on my bed that I’ve abandoned for about 24 hours now. I quickly went to go jump on it and drew the pillows close to me. “Oh my gosh I feel like we’ve been apart for too long.” I mumbled.

Heather walked into the room with Rachael following close behind. She threw the room key on the table and sat on her own bed. “Hey now Jordan, don’t be getting too close to them pillows! Don’t wanna be making Nathan jealous, do we?” she joked.

I sighed and closed my eyes. “Of course. Back to my hotel room, and back with the Nathan jokes. I forgot that they both came in the same package.” I turned around now so that the back of my head was now lying on my pillow. “Hey, where did the other girls go?”

“They all went out with their boys.” Rachael replied and grabbed the remote from the table, pointing it at the TV. “I was going to go out with Jay, but I know you’d miss me too much, so I decided to stay with you.”

“Awh Rachael, how sweet of you, always thinking about others!” I said sarcastically and turned so I was now facing Heather.

“Well what can I say? Friends first, right?”

“Forever and always girl!” Heather said. As if on cue, her phone went off with a text. Heather jumped at it and grabbed her phone immediately.

“And you all say that I freak out when Nathan texts me. You obviously haven’t seen Heather over here when it comes to Tom.” I said and sat up. Heather just looked up at me and stuck out her tongue. I shook my head and laughed at her.

“So what did Thomas text you?” Rachael asked and continued to flip through the channels. “There honestly is nothing going on in the world right now that is interesting enough for TV. Sad.” She sighed.

Heather shook her head and continued to read the text. “Well he said that we need to head down to the police station and decide Jason’s fate.”

I sat down next to Rachael on the couch and looked back at Heather. “Why? Can’t they just throw him in a Bahamian jail and get things over with?”

“Jordan, they can’t just immediately put him in jail here. First of all, they don’t have any real evidence or suspects to do so and second of all, if he’s being thrown in jail anywhere, it’s gonna be America.”

“Why?” Rachael complained.

“Because the Bahamas never did anything to deserve someone like Jason to even have the privilege to be in their jail.” Heather replied.

I scoffed. “So why does America gotta be stuck with him? If anything, they should leave him in a Caribbean jailhouse and let us live our lives in America without worry.”

“I second that.” Rachael threw her hand up. “The girl speaks the truth.”

Heather got up from her bed and walked towards the bathroom. “Would you all just stop complaining and get yourselves to look decent so we can leave?”
