My phone suddenly rang, flashing a call from Namjoon.

"Hello?" I said, sobbing away my tears and wiping them with the back of my hand.

"Hey— Are you crying?" Namjoon's voice was filled with worry and suspense.

"No, no. I'm fine," I cleared my throat, trying not to sound like I recently cried.

"No, you're not. Meet me at the park.."

I walked closer towards the park, spotting Namjoon's figure leaning on the bridge.

He seemed to notice me, so he sprinted towards me with a genuine smile.

I felt his arms around me, tightly embracing my numb body with his own warmth.

I couldn't keep myself together, I couldn't even smile at him.

He pulled away and caressed my hair, "do you want to talk about it?"

I snapped out of my thoughts and looked up at him.

He looked so concern, and for that I'm thankful to have him. He's a brother every girl would want.

I forced a smile and nodded.

He led me to a bench which faced the narrow lake.

I sat down, gaze fixed at the calming sight infront of me.

"I'm listening," Namjoon reminded.

I turned to him, eyes still dull and emotionless.

"Is it selfish to love someone who would never belong to you?"

"Sometimes, it is, when you hurt other people because of your love."

"When it comes to love, you wouldn't notice that one way or another, you're already being selfish."

"I know you think love is far from pain," He paused.

"But love is actually close to pain."

"It's a pair that always comes together. But if you love someone, you wouldn't do anything to hurt him or her intentionally."

"I guess I was wrong. I didn't know I was hurting someone though," I reasoned.

"I think I know who you're talking about. You're in love with Taehyung, aren't you?" Namjoon slightly smiled.

I heaved out another sigh and nodded. It's a good time to be honest.

"It was such a miss, Saerin." Namjoon randomly said.

"He loved you, so much."

The sound of dead leaves crushed by feet resonated, accompanied by the cold breeze from the east.

"Maybe more than you love him right now."

It felt as if my heart was torn inside me, only because of the word love.

"You meant the world to him. The way he talked about you when you were leaving, he was talking as if you were the air he breathed and that he didn't know how to live without you," Namjoon smiled.

"He loved you so much before, you were just too late to realize. Right love, wrong time, isn't it? He even—"

"Oppa.." I turned to him, eyes watering, "stop it, you're making me cry."

He chuckled and then ruffled my hair, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry."

"Know your limits, especially there's someone out there who will get hurt if you cross the line," His words of wisdom were really helpful.

"I just want to tell you that it's okay to be in love, but always know your limits— and of course, your worth."
