It was opening night of West Side Story... I know I'm only a chorus member and I had a minor roll, I was still nervous. This musical was one of my mom's favorites.

I slowly paced the hallway back and forth. I have to admit, I haven't been this nervous in a long time. I couldn't chew my nails since they were fake.

"Nervous?" Someone behind me asked.

"Yeah," I took a deep breathe and turned around and saw that classic Dalton Blazer.

"What helps me to calm my nerves before a game or performance is to take deep breathes." He suggested as he walked over and out his arms on my shoulders to help calm me down.

"Shouldn't you be the audience?" I took a deep breathe.

"Well, I was running late and the warblers said they saved me my seat." He commented.

"Thank you." I smiled.

"Your welcome." He grinned. As I gazed into his eyes, my phone interrupted us. It was Blaine telling me to hurry up.

"I should... uh... go... I'll see you around Warbler." I broke our gaze apart and walked backstage. We did a little speech and honored Artie for his directing.
