Summer was coming to an end

Summer was coming to an end. I had a very unexpected summer. I may have not mentioned this, but in February I was accepted into a musical theater program in New York that only 100 performers get into each summer. This program lasted the entire summer too.

I waited for Sebastian to show up at the Lima Bean. We wanted to meet up before we both have the pains of going back to school. I saw a familiar guy walk into the Lima bean. I ran up and gave him the biggest hug.

"Ugh, I missed you Sebastian!" I greeted.

"I missed you too." He said as he fully wrapped his arms around me.

"So how was Paris?" I asked as we pulled away and walked over to a table. I already ordered his drink since I knew what he liked.

"It was beautiful as usual. I will have to bring you there one day for you to see what I mean." He grinned. "I helped my aunt with her bakery. Then, I went to hang out with some old friends." He stated.

"That's sounds like fun." I responded as I sipped my tea.

"How was your program?" He questioned.

"It was amazing. I shared a room with this girl from Texas named Marybeth. Then, we received the schedule we had to follow for the entire summer on this block schedule. Classes didn't start until 11 and we finished by 4. Then we can go wander the streets of New York. The classes were absolutely unbelievable. I learned new techniques and new choreographed routines. I learned more acting tips. I got to work with a professional vocal coach. Everyone was so nice." I explained in full detail.

"Sounds like a productive summer."

"How are you doing now that you are back in Ohio?" I brought up. He looked very sick.

"The passed few days I've been fighting jet lag. It's still a struggle. I'm just tired but I'll be back to Ohio time eventually." He shrugged. "Oh, speaking of Paris..." he started as he reached into his blazer pocket. "I got you something." He smirked as he held up this beautiful charm bracelet.

"Sebastian, this is beautiful." I complimented. "I feel so bad. I didn't get you anything."

"No, I didn't need anything. I wanted to get you something." He shook his head.

"Well, In that case, thank you." I smirked as I leaned in and kissed him.

-Sebastian's POV-

After a fun afternoon at the Lima Bean, I watched Elle leave because she had to go finish her shopping for school. I just smiled and got up. I made my way to my car.

"Well, look who it is." I heard someone from behind me. I looked over and saw it was Hunter.

"What do you want Hunter?" I asked.

"As you know I'm the captain of the warblers now..." he began. He was some guy that the school gave a scholarship to just to make us a winning team. "Giselle Archer?"

"What does that have to do with anything?" I raised my eyebrows.

"Dump her." He commented.

"Why would I do that?" I rolled my eyes.

"Because if you don't, I will expose your secret." He got all up close and personal.

"Which is?"

"That your dad hits you, and you are too afraid to tell anyone because you don't want to leave your mom alone with him." He reminded.

"Don't you dare!" I angrily muttered.

"I won't tell anyone your pathetic little secret of yours, if you dump that McKinley High Tramp." He ordered. I just looked at him and I had to do everything I could to not punch him.

"Fine," I grumbled.

"I'll see you at warblers rehearsals." He walked off. I looked at my car door, and quickly got in. How the hell was I going to dump the girl I loved just so some asshole wouldn't expose something that I don't want to talk about.

-Giselle Archer-

After a long day of shopping, I got back into my bedroom. I texted Quinn to see if she was able to talk. The doorbell rang. I put my phone down, and went downstairs to answer it. When I opened the door, I saw a girl with dark brown hair wearing a newsies cap. She looked to be in high school.

"Hi," I smiled.

"Hi, I'm Marley Rose. My mom and I just moved into the house next door, and I just wanted to introduce myself to my neighbors." She smiled back.

"Well, I'm Giselle Archer. You can call me Elle. I live here with my father who is not home at the moment." I stated. "What grade are you in?"

"I'm a sophomore at McKinley High School." She answered.

"Really? I am a senior at McKinley." I gasped. "Here do you want to come in?" I offered.

"Yeah, sure. Thank you." She grinned. She stepped in the doorway as we walked over to the living room sofa. I grabbed some snacks and drinks and placed them on the coffee table. "What's McKinley like?" She asked.

"Well, it's decent. I mean if you find a great group of friends, you should be fine." I added.

"I'm a little nervous to start up." She sighed.

"Don't worry. You'll have me." I smiled.

"But we just met." She reminded.

"Yeah, but now we are friends." I grinned. She just smiled. "Tell me a bit about yourself."

After several hours of getting to know Marley and hanging out, Marley had to leave to go eat dinner. We both agreed to meet up before school starts so I can help her find her classes.

I sat at the table and saw a familiar notebook. Not just any notebook. It was my day planner. I opened it, and saw the last page I actually filled out. That was back in March. After I started to date Sebastian, I just gradually loosened up.

I opened the little tabs, and took out the pages. I just threw them away. Eventually I will get back into writing everything down, but for now I don't need it. I put the empty day planner on the shelf and decided to start making dinner for myself. I decided to go simple and make a salad. After I made my salad, I sat down and looked at my class schedule for tomorrow. I felt my phone buzz for the 8th time in the passed half an hour. Must be urgent. I looked down at my phone. All from Sebastian.

From: Sebastian
Hey, want to go out to dinner at Breadsticks?

I looked at the time. It was only 5:30. I had time to kill.

To: Sebastian
Yeah! What time?

From: Sebastian
How about at 6:30?

To: Sebastian
