A/N- I'm sorry this chapter is gonna be a little short, but I've got the next chapter all planned out and it is going to be very suspenseful. There will be a new character - or should i say, bad guy - introduced to the story in the next chapter, and he will cause a lot of suspense.

Thank you do much for reading and voting! :). Comment what you think, please. I love comments! Until then, Killjoy out.

•Gerard's POV•

I did a little twirl as I dove into the upcoming wave. I whipped my black hair out of my face to see if Elise was still behind me. I could see her - very fuzzily - through the waves and she seemed to not be paying attention to the wall of water advancing towards her. By the time the wave got near her, it started to crash. I panicked and I screamed her name to warn her.

The last thing I saw before she was slammed into the ocean were her scared, hazel eyes.

I screamed again, but once the water started foaming, I waited for a sign that she would be coming up. She wasn't.

I started searching the water frantically- my heart was beating out of my chest. I screamed some more, and I heard some questioning noises from where Frank, Ray, and Mikey were. I ignored them and kept looking.

The water stopped foaming and I was able to see clearer underneath. My heart stopped as saw a shadow near my feet.

That was when I remembered that I really can't swim that well. I have never been able to hold my breath for too long, and so if I can't swim that well by myself, I can't imagine what it would be like while carrying someone my own size on my shoulder.

I snapped out of my worrying. What am I talking about! I can't let her drown just because I am such a whimp.

I immediately dove in. I opened my eyes to a slit so I could get a feel of where I was. At first, I couldn't see a thing. But then I felt like I saw a shape forming in front of me. It had to be her.

I was running short of air so I didn't waste anytime and grabbed her. I wrapped my skinny arms around her waist and began to slowly pull her upwards.

I could feel a small amount of saltwater forming in my lungs, but I ignored it and kept pushing my legs to swim.

I gasped for air as I emerged from under the ocean water and got Elise's head out of the eater's reach. I could hear the other boys' noises a little closer now, but they weren't close enough to see what was going on.

I swam my way towards the shore and relief filled my body as my toes felt the sand forming under my feet. I found my balance. I decided it would probably be easier to carry the unconscious Elise back to the beach, rather than to drag her.

I picked her up and held her in my arms - some would call it 'bridal style' - and I rest her head on my shoulder so it wouldn't hang over my arm. She was still coughing, even though she was knocked out. I kept whispering things to her as I ran to our spot in the sand.

"Please stay with me".

"Don't go".

You can't die".

"I-I... love you".

I set her down on my towel and stared at her, wondering what I could do. Her makeup over her eye had completely washed away in the water, leaving her purple bruise clear for everyone to see.

"WHAT HAPPENED?!?!". Frank screamed as he panted from running. The two others ran up directly behind, looking pretty concerned themselves.

"She drowned" I said, not taking my eyes off of her. I was racking my brain of what I could do. I needed to do something- fast.
