•Elise's POV•

I was sitting with my mom in the lobby, playing some card game at the nearest coffee table. We actually had no idea what the game was, but what the heck.

We had stayed at the hospital for about a day since Mr. And Mrs. Way had left. It was now Tuesday. Frank and Ray had gone to school yesterday and today. They both had visited after school, but had to leave for dinner.

My mom was really my only company here. Josh didn't really count, since he just sat in the corner with his earbuds in. And he only listened to rap, so I couldn't really relate with him musically either.

I was so glad to get Josh out of my hair for a little while. His mother had called my mom and yesterday and had told her that they were coming home on Tuesday. Which is today!

I had made some visits with the boys here and there. Wait I'm sorry, I mean I had basically spent my whole time in their hospital room.

But today, the nurse that was helping Gerard and Mikey told me it would probably best if I let them have some sleep before they go home tonight.

I was reluctant to leave, but I knew it was for the best.

I shuffled my way back into to the lobby and turned towards where my mom and I had been sitting for the past few days.

What was strange was that my mom wasn't there.

And Josh was.

I almost decided to go wander back into the halls of the emergency room just to avoid talking to Josh, but I knew the workers probably wouldn't enjoy that too much.

I went over to the main desk.

I did a little dance in my head when I saw that that Betsy chick wasn't there. But yet again, I did have a pretty good time getting under that girl's skin.

Anyway, it's was some other dude that looked to be seriously bored with his life. What was it with this job? I mean seriously, who would want this job in the first place? They all turn out to be stiff boards that have no emotion.

"Excuse me, Alex?" I had looked at his name tag, "Would you possibly know where a Mrs. Loewe is? I can't seem to find her in the lobby".

"I think she went that way," he pointed to the main entrance.

"Thanks".

I stepped outside and took in the fresh air. It was incredible.

I hadn't been outside in two whole days. The ER isn't allowed to open windows just because you never know what can come in from outside. All we've had is this crappy fan that didn't always work.
