"Wait-what?"
"You gotta be kidding!"
"We're not even that good!"
"I agree!"
"ADFKJLSDH!"
"KSLEIWLAHS!"
"DRRKABDLSN!"
The boys began to go nuts with the recording remark. It was mostly Gerard, Mikey, and Ray protesting.... Oh yeah, and Frank making gibberish noises after them.
After a few minutes of weird discussions between the boys ( well Frank didn't really count if I say discussing - more like seizer ) I sighed out of the side of my mouth, causing my hair to fly every which way. I put my hand up to shut them up.
"Yo, boys!" I yelled at them. Ray and the brothers started to slow down. But Frank was still basically foaming at the mouth while he decided to go insane. I waved my arm back and forth in front of the shortie's face. "Yo! Earth to Frankmaster!" I yelled directly in his face. He didn't twitch.
After a minute of sitting there, Frank slowly turn his head and had an odd, blank look on his face. "Yes?" he asked calmly in respond to my little arm dance. He obviously was messing with me.
"Oh shut up and act like a human!" I giggled as I pushed him off of his stool. Now he responded. I knew this kid too well. I tackled him on the floor and we ended up in a fit of giggles. Everyone else kind of unsurely half - laughed along, but I think they thought we were freaks. That would be accurate.
When we calmed down I suddenly remembered our situation. I sat up straight. "Did you really think we were that great?" I asked Jim and Brian. I was backed up by a chorus of 'Yeah?'s.
"Yeah, you guys sounded pretty amazing for a band that was just basically formed last week. And you song was so good, considering it was an original composition!" Jim beamed.
"Yeah, Gerard wrote that song. He really is amazing". I looked at Gerard and he was totally blushing. I didn't even know that his pale skin could reach that sort of pinkish color. He tried not to smile too much since he didn't want to brag, but I could see it in his eyes. His beautiful, hazel eyes.
I noticed I had been staring at Gerard for a little too long and I think everyone else noticed it too. I tried to change the subject.
"I don't know if we should actually 'record' anything yet since we need to work on some stuff". I looked at the ground. I didn't want to sound like I was putting us down, but we really hadn't 'worked' on anything yet.
Brian spoke up for the first time in a while, "How 'bout this. You five go back home, have 'jam sessions' or whatever, work in 'class'- if you can call it a class - and come back with ten songs in a week. Five covers, and five of your own songs. Then we'll be able to see when I should come in. Deal?"
I glanced over to Gerard who was now sitting by the window-sill, and I mouthed, 'Do you think we can do it?'. He shrugged and then I smile overtook his whole face. He mouthed back, 'Of course we can!'. "We're amazing!". He meant to mouth it all, but he kind of said the 'we're amazing' part to loud. He looked embarrassed.
"Well yes you are!" Jim replied with a smirk.
We all ended up calling our parents- except for Gerard and Mikey- and told them what was going on. They handled it pretty well, other than when Ray's Mom went all wacko since he was at a strangers house.
It was 5:00 p.m. and my mom was gonna pick everyone up at around 6:00 p.m., so we had some time to kill.
Ray and Frank had found their place with the large selection of guitars, so they were preoccupied for the moment. Mikey was taking in all of the cool music junk all over the house.
