"You don't think this is too over the top?"

"Aviana go make yourself useful," Junior jokingly says as we are all ready for the event to start. It has been a couple of months of us eagerly waiting for the day we find out the gender of our baby.

"I hope I don't disappoint," Israel tells Junior as he is standing on the side ready to signal the men from afar. Due to Junior and I wanting to find out the gender together and share such a memorable surprise with all the ones we love so dear. We decided to request our doctor to keep the gender a secret from us at our last appointment. The envelope that has what our little bundle of joy will be was entrusted to Israel.

"You're the most responsible out of all of us. There's no such thing," Junior reassures as they both hug.

Madison signals for Aviana and Brielle to start making their way to us as we all gather to get ready for the big reveal. Huge balloon garlands of pastel pink and blue are on both sides of the cream board. On the board, the Castillo last name glows in the dark.

"You two go stand at the front of the board," Israel instructs Junior and I. We immediately do as he says feeling extreme excitement start to set in. I can feel a bunch of butterflies flying all over the place as reality sets in. I'm just a couple of minutes away from finding out what our blessing is. Naturally Junior wants a boy for the Castillo bloodline to be carried on. I've never thought I'll have kids, so thinking about genders never has been something I've thought of before.

If I think more about it, I guess I'm more inclined for a boy as well considering how I grew up I guess. Junior and I hold hands as we smile at one another. His eyes for a moment falls to my stomach then directs his attention to me once again. I can tell how in love he is with someone he hasn't even met yet. It's adorable to witness this side of the man I once saw as a mission.

A timeline of events flows to my mind remembering where it all began. Eyes that once glared at each other as enemies now demonstrate love. I remember the first time I saw Mr. Little boss from a distance. I was watching and observing him closely. I remember my father pointing at the young boss before I went to hide waiting for his cue on when he was going to introduce me. Something about the way he carried himself immediately tugged at my curiosity.

His mysterious persona, confident attitude, and very masculine demeanor made him more attractive without knowing. The way everything fell into place from the moment our eyes first met it's truly one heck of a story. Out of all the horrible things my father did. This one I do thank him for. Without knowing, that one decision led me to finding a love I never knew could be for someone like me. A love that brought color to my world. A love that made me feel alive. A love that heals.

"At my signal, start counting down," Israel says out loud for everyone to hear. In this moment, everything went in slow motion as I gaze in adoration at those beautiful green eyes that changed my life. Green on blue as the countdown is heard around us.

"You ready?," he murmurs.

"Yes," I respond hearing fireworks. We all look up at the night sky full of sparkling stars. Sparks of pink sparkle bright joining the stars.

Everyone screams in pure excitement as my mouth opens wide completely stunned by the big reveal. I look twice seeing constant sparks of pink just to make sure I'm seeing what I'm seeing.

"A babygirl," is heard from Madison that starts to tear up from happiness. Only confirming what I was processing.

I look at Junior seeing his eyes water as he says, "I'm going to be a girl dad." His arms embrace me in the most warmest manner and that's when my vision blurs.

A little girl.

My little girl.

Memories of my mother and I flash before me as I realize I'm going to be a mother to my own little girl. Is this the universe's way to make up for what my father took from me? So many times I thought to myself how different my life could've been if I had my mother.

Now here I am entering a whole new chapter of my life of learning how to be a mother to my first baby, my daughter.

I hope I'll be a good mom like my mother.

"We're having a girl," I say full of happy tears and I hug him back.

"She's going to be beautiful like her mother. I'm going to need to hire many guards to keep all the boys away," Junior says as he kisses my forehead. I laugh imagining him really do such a thing as that. Everyone else approaches us giving us hugs and congratulating us on our babygirl.

"Amoret," I hear Junior say from behind me as everyone steps back giving us our space. As soon as I turn around come to a complete surprise seeing him on one knee as he holds a dark red ring case with a beautiful engagement ring inside. Everyone awes as all of the men stand behind Junior holding big wooden letters that read, "Will you marry me?"

Without a second thought I said, "yes a million times yes," as he stands up pulling the ring out from the case placing it on my ring finger.  The crowd cheers and congratulates as we share an intimate kiss.

"I love you," I lovingly say meaning every word as I gaze into those green eyes I adore so much. He smiles, "I love you too future Mrs. Castillo."

Hearing that, my heart warms as butterflies fly all over. Oh, to be so dearly loved and be a part of a family is such an indescribable feeling. The family I longed for so long is finally here.

And for that everything I went through the good and the bad was worth it. It all led me to this very moment.

A moment that is just the beginning of my forever.

Cheers to forever.

Author's note:

For those that stayed and still read after all this time, a big thank you. I know it has taken me forever to update this story among other stories too. Life just be life-ing for real. However, the finale to this story has come. I really hope you enjoyed this last chapter. I'm so deeply grateful for all the love, support, and loyalty from each of you. Y'all are what keeps me coming back on here.

What are my plans now?
I want to focus on writing Slave to the Mafia which may or may not end up crossing path's with Aviana's story.

I'm debating the story of Aviana to be honest just because so much time has passed. I would like to know how many are interested in Aviana having her own story? Or if this is where the Castillo family story telling ends.

Much love,
Giavanni
