Blood And Breath 2 (Inner Moka X Dragon)

Ch 7 - Flop

Moka is pissed at you for betting when Gin told you to. The guard of the locker room being followed by Tsukune and Akasha as everyone is split into smaller groups. Hey-oh.

Mizore for backup followed Kurumu into the locker room. They muted their mics for this one. Just to have a besty heart to heart.

"Thanks Mizore."

"Anytime. I don't trust you alone with filthy men."

"I would do the same. Trust me."

"I know. Let's get these back on and see."

Mics turn on and it's in the locker room where some boys and men were ready to do battle. Turns out the ones opposite ends of the locker room were Ki the Orc and the zombie that was due to fight him. On paper zombies are slow and with an orc's strength this is a no brainer. Odds are ten to one (10:1). Though the zombie looked older than Ki. Had maybe ten years on him though no more then fifteen.

"So Kurumu you think (FN) and Gin are winning that bet?" Asked Mizore.

"From what I see yes they are." Replied Kurumu dazed.

< What's going on? > Asked Gin.

< Beside the fact a Yokai student is about to fight a guy who's near age 30? Nothing much. Smells like socks. > Mizore had to lighten the mood.

< So adults fighting children. Interesting. > Moka was getting angry.

< I'll take a few pics and get out. > Kurumu got the little security camera and snapped pictures of the fighters and the locker room.

Mizore put a cold hand on her friend's shoulder. "I'm going to find a few spots to hide."

"Sure..." Kurumu wanted nothing more to do with this. She was gone in a flash.

Gin and Ruby was interesting given that they were getting in the crowd. Trying to see what everyone was doing here. Too many weren't highschool students. Maybe a few dozen. This just wasn't right. Using minors for entertainment? Money? Something else was wrong. What else could it be? What was the real kicker?

Gin thought he would ask around. Gripping to Ruby's hand for her safety. "Hey man who do you got your bet on?"

"Hey. You new kid?" Said the man next to him.

"Been a while. Tell it how it is." Gin was playing it cool. Just how he wanted.

"I think it's fixed."

Oh shit. They were right.

"Either way I'm just watching. Let's be honest. The zombie is going to be orc food. Zombies aren't known to be the fastest of monsters. Least how I grew up. But I don't bet. Ever heard of a broke bookie?"

"Nay."

"Exactly. I'm just seeing what's possibly in store for the future rounds. Kei(key)-Matix might shoot him an offer."

Let's drag this along with blowing cover. "The Kei-Matix I'm thinking of right?"

"One and only. Monster gang supreme whatever. And get this. The dyke bookie in here is only a piece. She's in charge with help of two informants in the school. Holy shit right?"

Gin pretended to laugh. "Too easy. I actually put a thousand yen on the zombie. You never know. I expect to lose it."

"Good. You won't see it again guy."

< Gin that guy drinking? > Asked Moka.

< Yup. >

< Ugh. Men. Tsukune what's going on by the guard? > Moka was trying to intel everything. So far we a mystery monster gang organization, students getting involved with it, and this whole operation is under one man or rather woman's hand. If she is only one the resources and connections are far greater.

< He's leading to the tunnel we go through that connects everything. That is all. Walking into the tunnel and waiting for Kurumu... > Tsukune hated her charm.

< Just no. Ewww. > Kurumu in disgust.

< Hey guys can I report? > Asked Mizore.

< Where are you exactly? > Asked Akasha.

< Sounds cliche but I'm in a locker all the way in the corner. Some ugly asshole in a brown suit is in here. We wait for this fight, see the results, and then get out of here. We'll confront those three idiots later. > Mizore the locker informant. Bound to happen sometime.

< See if you can pick up anything. > Asked Tsukune.

< Sure Tsukune. Your snow bunny can do anything for you. >

The man in the suit carried a black wooden cane and had three guards with him. Most likely because of his size. He stood maybe five feet even being maybe 40. Nothing amazing. Though the men around him meant business.

"Alright kid here's the deal. I had the money counted. 50,000 yen to go along and flop. Deal?" Said the man in the suit.

"Fifty Mr. Key?" Said Ki with his eyes wide. "Am I getting promoted?"

"With money yes. Is this agreeable? But here is my terms. Make it last. After three minutes you have him swing and you'll be taking a nap. If you don't make it look real you get zero. Are we clear?" Said the man apparently as Mr. Key.

"Yes sir. I won't fail." Ki bowed as the short man went to the other side of the locker room.

Just then the door opened up and the bookie came in. "Hey Boss. Match in five. Terms good?"

"Yes. Indeed they are. Carry on sweetheart." Mr. Key winked at her. "That's why you're my girl."

"My ass or this money?" She blew a kiss.

"Both. Now let's start the next round of the show." He nodded at the zombie and proceeded to the exit. Mizore was just disturbed in the slightest way possible.

< So a short man with guards seems to be the boss and porking the bookie. Tunnel and Yokai are entrances in. Kids are recruited to make money when they are getting much, much more. Monster organized crime. Match is going to start. Get set. I'll stay here, Tsukune and Akasha by the stairs, the rest go in packs around the ring. This might get ugly. >

On the other side of the cage directly across from Gin and Ruby you sat down. Yukari between the the two of you for protection. Inside the head of hers she was processing everything in such a short amount of time. Scared a little but confident. A little fire igniting to have her have faith. All of you knew this was the real deal. Not one enemy. Several. But with three vampires, a dragon, a werewolf, and company the odds were all of your favor. Time to watch the fight and act.

Coming up with this arc was rather difficult. And you shall see what else I have in store. Hint. If you thought Moka was pissy now. Woo! Just wait. Woo!
