(Serina Jelavic's P.O.V)
I stared at the dirt roads, the patches of amber green grasses seemed to lessen, slowly turning to empty lands; the roads dirt to cement. Andrea wasn't fazed, typing at her laptop; she was used to this after all. I was focused on the changing land; the wind seemed different, the heat burning me more. I realized that we were nearing the city; outlines of buildings etched the sky's blue hue. I sighed, I was a nervous wreck; a rare emotion from me.
I was honestly worried, I wonder if my sister will like me. My attitude, my practices, my ways; will she like it all? I sighed and stared at Karasuma sitting at the shotgun. "Sir is my sister just like me?" I asked as I leaned onto the side of the car. "You're exactly like her." He replied and I could see his hard eyes soften as he said it. Could it be?
The car came to a halt, distracting me from my thoughts; I stared outside the window, a big house looming into my view; it's shadow covering the car. "This is my stop." Andrea muttered before going down. "Don't worry, I know where you live. I located it already; I'll meet you when you're settled." She said before slamming the door and walking to the gate. There she goes again, her clever little mind.
The car hummed again before moving, the ride was smooth than the rocky one from earlier. "We're close." Karasuma said after a few confusing turns. The car came to a stop once more, making my blood run cold. I went down the car, my wedges touching the street, my feet unfamiliar to the ground.
I immediately loved the home. My sister had great taste and that was one of the things I liked. I stared at Karasuma, I almost jumped back at the change of expression the man had. He looked smug, his stoic face gone as he walked up to the doorbell.
A tired woman went out, her blonde hair flowing as she approached her sudden visitors. "Irina, meet your sister Serina Jelavic.'' Karasuma said, lightly pushing me to approach my older sister.
Irina instantly opened her gate, embracing the teen in a tight hug. "I thought you were a goner." She whispered to me whose tears were staining the woman's white blouse. "Come inside, we have a lot to talk about."
The driver quickly excused himself, not wanting to be part of the personal conversation. "Take a seat, I'll make some tea." Irina gestured to her lounge sofas. "I'll do it, you two talk" Karasuma unusually volunteered, making the blonde woman stare at him weirdly.
The man said no word and entered the kitchen. Irina faced me who nervously, her eyes avoiding the woman's gaze. "Where did you used to live?" I asked her, she could see the woman visibly flinch before she replied, "Germany, I think you know the rest." I nodded and approached I sat beside her wordlessly
No words were needed, I hugged her and she understood what I meant to say. Actions are stronger than words, a wise person would say. The smell of Jasmine tea wafted through the blonde assassin's residence, breaking our hug. Karasuma arrived, who seemed to take off his jacket. He carried a tray containing the tea itself.
We took the china cups carefully, making sure not to break them. "I assume you have set your matters straight?" The man formally asked, earning agreement from us. "Then I shall take my leave." He said, taking his jacket while heading to the door.
"Thank you Mr. Karasuma." I smiled a twinkle in my eyes as I thanked him. Karasuma smiled a little in reply, "Call me Tadaomi."
He was about to leave when Irina suddenly shouted, making me flinch. "WHY CAN'T I CALL YOU TADAOMI?" The man frowned, replacing the once rare smile.
"Because you're noisy and very incapable of controlling you're emotions." Karasuma replied, making the woman scream even more.
"I hate you!" Irina wailed, earning a glare from the man. "I hate you too." I giggled at the pair's spat, although they didn't have any romantic relationship they seem to like each other. The more you hate, the more you love.
