Cocktails, Dinner and Confessions Chapter 14

Jimin had been basically moping around all day.  Jungkook called him in the morning as promised and asked if he wanted him to come by.  Jimin refused.  He really did want his Kookie around but he just really didn't want him to see how depressed he was about this situation.  Jungkook did not tell Jimin about his conversation with his father after he left Jimin's place last night.  He had hoped it would give his father something to think about before dinner tonight.  It also didn't sound like his father called to confront Jimin about Jungkook's visit.

During Jungkook's call he reminded Jimin that he would always be there for him.  That he had no intention of letting Jimin's parents run him off.  He could handle them.  Jimin reassured Jungkook that he would not have to worry about being run off.  He wouldn't allow them to try.

"Aegiya, you're not going anywhere.  I won't let them run you away.  I love you too much."  Jimin said with a hint of sunshine in his voice.

"Good!"  Jungkook said with a smile that Jimin couldn't see but could feel.

"I'm just going to tell them that this is the last time they can contact me.  That they consistently refuse to accept me for me.  I can't emotionally take this anymore.  I thought I had cut off all contact before but I don't know what more I can do but plead with them to leave me alone."  Jimin said.

"Well, I will hope for something better for you Baby.  You deserve it."  Jungkook says.

"That's what I really love about you Aegiya, you are always so positive."  Jungkook can hear Jimin's bright smile.

"Remember when you asked me 'How do you do it?'  How did I make you take risk, leaps, and to trust?" Jungkook says.

"Yes."  Jimin says.

"What did I tell you?"  Jungkook asks.

"You said 'when you find someone special you are willing to take risks, make those leaps, and learn to trust.'"  Jimin repeats back.

"You're that special person remember that.  You are worth every risk, every leap and you have my full trust and I hope I have yours."  Jungkook says.

"You do, you do.  I love you so much Jungkook." Jimin says smiling his most beautiful smile and Jungkook can definitely feel it.

"I love you always and forever, Jimin-ssi."  Jungkook says.

Jimin giggles brightly, "I love you always and forever, Jungkook-ssi."

Jimin feels a little better throughout the day but the weight starts to come down again when he starts getting ready to meet his father.  The only thing keeping his heart from feeling like it wants to explode is knowing after dinner he can come home to Jungkook.  He told Jungkook before they hung up he wanted him there when he got home and he would call him when he left the restaurant.

Jimin arrived at the restaurant with just extra minutes to park the car and then he entered.  He looked around the room looking for his father but what he found was not just his father but his mother too.  He hangs his head for a moment and thinks, "Shit!  It's bad enough it's one but why both?"

Jimin walks to the table, "Appa, Oemma." and takes a seat.

"It's good to see you again my son."  his mother says.

"Cut the crap Mom."  Jimin says snappily.

"Jimin!  Don't speak to your mother in that manner."  Jimin's father says irritated.

"Then why are you both here?  It can't be good.  It never is and frankly I just want to get this night over with.  You saw what happened last night Appa, let's not kid ourselves, okay?"  Jimin is irritated.
