The evening  before Jungkook and Jimin were to leave back to Seoul was the evening they were to spend with Jimin's parents.  It had been years seen he had been back in the family home due to the strained relationship he had with his Mother and Father.  All of which was supposed to have been resolved at the dinner with Jungkook.  He understood his parents were trying to understand a concept that was foreign to them and went against their traditional cultural beliefs.

Jimin's  mother did stop trying to set him up with the daughters, nieces, granddaughters, or whatever of friends or women she just randomly met.  This did provide a level of comfort now to Jimin when he spoke on the phone with her.  No longer did he have to hear her say "Oh, you should meet..."  His father stopped trying to arrange for strategic marriages for business purposes.  What all that meant for Jimin would be determined at the dinner.

His parents delicately talked around Jimin's sexuality when it came up in social settings and it was never discussed with friends or acquaintances of his parents.  They still where harboring that as a shame.  If they were asked if Jimin had found a lovely girl, they would politely defer and say simply "no" and elaborate no further.  Bearing the usual, "Oh that's such a shame.  He is quite the catch.  Young, handsome, and a doctor.  Well, maybe he just hasn't found the right girl."  With his mother politely saying "maybe".  They never proffered Jungkook into any of their conversations about Jimin.  They never would say "Well he has a wonderful friend in Jungkook."  Not that they didn't like Jungkook.  They did like him...a lot.  It was just still very difficult to understand that Jungkook was the one Jimin was in love with.  It bothered them that in their mind they would never be grandparents.  There would be no one to carry on the Park legacies.  They were trying to come to grips with these ideas but they were still wrong ideas and notions of what Jimin could and couldn't be in this world and who Jimin could and couldn't be with.

Jimin and Jungkook arrived at his parents home and welcomed in by one of three house staff his parents utilized.  Huesong the house manager opened the door for them.  She had been on staff with the Parks for 30 years and was set to retire in the next 5 years.  She had started with the Parks as a maid and worked her way up with the sincere trust of the family.  What Mrs. Park did not know was that often she was the mother Jimin did not have.  She comforted Jimin through much of his life and with learning to deal with the distance and strain with his parents and was of special comfort to Jimin when his brother died.  That deeply affected her to and she made it her personal mission to make sure that Jimin had someone who loved and supported him.  Huesong never married and never had children of her own.  She considered Jimin her surrogate son.

"Aaaah!  Master Jimin! It is so good to see you again.  I have missed you greatly!"  Heusong says as she takes him into a great hug.

"Heusong, I missed you too."  He says giving her a gentle kiss to the cheek.

"Well, well please tell me this is the handsome Jungkook your parents talk so highly about."  Heusong says as she sweeps the taller into a hug too.

"It is a pleasure to meet you."  Jungkook says after the hug and steps back and bows to her.

"Oh, so well mannered.  I like you!"  She says with a twinkle in her eyes.

"Now don't lie Heusong, you know my parents don't talk highly of anything or anyone when it comes to me."  Says Jimin showing he is still jaded in their relationship.

"Well, they may not talk highly but they talk and they do speak well of Jungkook, but you know your parents."  She says.  "Well please, make yourselves comfortable the guest slippers are there."  as she walks away but not before giving another cheek kiss to Jimin.

As they are changing out of their shoes Jungkook says, "Master, huh?  Well aren't you just the privileged son?"

"Yeah, so privileged.  It's bullshit."  Jimin says in a snarky tone.
