It would be just about a week before they both had time off again together and Jungkook could screw the courage up to sit down and discuss the topic giving it the attention it deserved. During the time Jungkook was thinking about it though he seemed a bit distant and it didn't go unnoticed by Jimin but Jimin did not pressure it. He knew how difficult this must be for Jungkook and he wanted him to have the time he needed to make the decision he felt most comfortable for himself and Jimin and to be able to discuss it reasonably. There were many times at night in the dark of their room when they were supposed to be asleep that Jimin would curl up close and hug Jungkook without a word being said. While Jungkook didn't shy from it his response to it was distant. Jimin just wanted him to know he was still there. Then one night Jungkook decided he had gone over the subject of moving to the states in his mind enough. He had thought of every good point and bad point. He had questions and he hoped they could make this decision together and come to a mutual conclusion. One they could both be happy and never resentful about. He decided to cook a wonderful meal and they could sit down relaxed, comfortable and hopefully with no pressure.
"Aegiya, I'm home. What smells so good?" Jimin says as he comes in the door and takes off his shoes and puts on his house shoes.
"Oh, I made some spaghetti from Jin's recipe. I hope you like it." Jungkook says giving Jimin a peck on the lips as he's preparing their meal.
Jimin takes a sip of wine from Jungkook's glass sitting on the counter.
"Well it smells delicious and I can't wait, I'm so hungry. Do you need any help?" Jimin asks as he washes his hands getting ready to do something.
"No Baby, but you can sit at the bar and tell me all about this fellowship. I want to know about it." Jungkook says.
Jimin smiles and takes a seat on the stool and watches Jungkook as he starts to explain the fellowship.
"Are you okay with this?" Jimin asks first.
"Well I don't know yet but I want to hear about it." Jungkook says chopping some onions.
"Okay, it's an International Fellowship program at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California. It is for research and development in medical practices in the Emergency Room. Studying care provision prior to, to, and discharge from the Emergency Room and they selected several Doctors from around the world to be a part of the program." Jimin says.
"That sounds interesting. When did you apply for the program?" Jungkook asks trying to gauge whether Jimin did it before they started dating or after.
"I applied about 4 months before I met you but I didn't hear anything so I didn't think I had been selected. I didn't know it would take this long for them to make a decision." Jimin takes another sip of the wine.
"How long is the program for, do you know?" Jungkook asks.
"Well it could be anywhere from 2 years to 5 depending on the progress of research." Jimin gets up to get the tableware to set the table while dinner is cooking.
"What does the program offer in regards to families, partners? Do they offer a salary? Will they cover moving costs?" Jungkook asks.
"Well the costs of flying you out with me would be the cost we bear. The moving of the household to either storage or to the states they will cover. If a spouse or partner decides to stay here there is no moving expense other than housing." Jimin responds.
The conversation continues about the program and what it offers for Jimin. They finish dinner and they are cleaning up when Jungkook asks, "So Baby, what do you think about the offer?"
