I was sitting at lunch with Delta and Dylan eating, well more or less pushing my salad around my plate. Dylan had been munching on a sand which and Delta was scarfing down everything in sight.
Delta was mysteriously quiet for the first day back she was usually the one talking the most out of all of us. I raised an eyebrow as she avoided eye contact with us. Dylan noticed it to, but she wasn't saying anything, so whatever she knew she wasn't wanting to share with us. "So, how were classes?" I asked, trying to bring up a topic, any topic.
"I don't want to go to the rest of my classes." Dylan said taking another bite of her sand which. Delta didn't say anything, which made me narrow my eyes at her. The silence was killing me, someone had to say something.
"Hey guys." Dakota said taking a seat with a tray full of food on it. She grinned at me and took a bite out of an apple.
"Oh thank god, conversation." I groaned throwing my head back. Dylan smirked looking up from her sand which.
"Not entertaining enough for ya?" Dylan muttered with a smirk, I shrugged and turned to Dakota.
"They wont talk to me, I'm bored....help please." I fake pouted as she laughed and rolled her eyes.
"Okay how about this, I was supposed to go ice skating with my boyfriend this weekend, but we recently broke up, so do you guys want to go instead? I mean I already bought the tickets to go and everything I could buy two more and we could go, just us girls and we could go shopping and stuff. Saturday?" She asked as my eyes lit up. I loved ice skating.
"Yes, please yes. Girls, you in?" I asked with pleading eyes. Dylan simply nodded, biting the inside of her lip.
"Yeah sounds good, lets do it." Delta didn't even bother looking up, she just shrugged.
I nodded and pressed my lips together, trying not to let their attitudes get me down. "Yeah, lets plan it for Saturday, we can meet at mine." I smiled at Dakota.
"Great." She grinned, taking another bite of her apple.
"I didn't know you had a boyfriend." Dylan said looking at Dakota with curious eyes. "Why didn't you say anything?"
"it wasn't anything serious, it was a new relationship. He wasn't over his ex, and he thinks I'm still pondering over mine so we broke it off, no big deal. I'm seriously not upset about it at all." She shrugged, her eyes seemed to be truthful, she didn't seem upset about the break, though it was still a little weird she didn't mention him before. "lets change the subject." She said once she had swallowed.
"Jarak asked me to move in with him." Delta said not looking up from her food that she was almost done with. My eyes lit up, finally hearing her speak.
"Oh my god Delta that's amazing." I grinned. She didn't seem to happy though, I knew she loved Jarak so it didn't make sense why she would be upset about her wanting to move in.
"Yeah, things are getting pretty serious." She muttered as Dylan gave her a skeptical look. "I have to go, class." She said quickly as she gathered her things and got up from the table. Not giving us another look she headed for the door, throwing her food away.
"That was weird." Dakota muttered, sitting next to me and looking at Dylan.
"Shes going through some stuff, it will all work out." Dylan nodded and got up as well. "I should get going as well, my class begins soon." I watched her walk out of the commons as well.
"Well, something is wrong with them." Dakota shrugged, but continued to eat. I was going to talk to Dylan later, find out what was wrong, maybe they would talk to me if Dakota wasnt there, a trust thing perhaps.
"Yeah, im sure its nothing."
"Hey what are you doing tonight do you want to grab dinner or something? Maybe catch a movie?" She asked and I shook my head.
"Nah, Grey wants to stay at home tonight, hang out with just us, date night and all." I responded as her face fell a little.
"Oh, okay, maybe later than."
"Sure, later, for sure."

I sat on the couch curled up in a ball, with a glass of wine in my hand and the remote in the other, flipping through channels. Grey wasn't home from work yet but I got home about an hour ago and he should be walking through the door any minute.
As if on cue, the front door opened and I heard Grey setting his keys down. "Mari?" Grey's voice echoed the house.
"In the living room!"
I heard more rustling before Grey appeared in the door way with a bottle of wine and two glasses. He smirked when he saw the glass in my hand and the bottle on the table in front of me. "I like the way you think." He grinned.
"Great minds think alike." I smiled. He sat next to me and poured himself a glass as I pulled the blanket out so he could get under it with me. I pulled it back up on top of both of us and snuggled into Grey's side as he wrapped an arm around me.
"How were classes/"
"The twins are acting weird." i pouted, resting my head on his chest.
"Yeah, Jarak mentioned that, the whole pregnancy scare thing." He said and I stopped in my tracks. My eyebrows furrowed together as I frowned and sat up.
"What?" I asked sitting up straight. Grey frowned at me, almost confused.
"yeah, you didn't know? I figured that's why you brought it up." I shook my head quickly. "I mean, it would make sense why she didn't tell you babe."
"What sense would it make?" Why would Delta hide this from me, if she was pregnant I would be excited with her, she is moving in with Jarak and starting her own life, this was good.
"Mari, we lost a baby not that long ago, don't you think that Delta would keep this from you just because she didn't want us to have to go through all that again? She didn't want to bring it back up." that made sense. I hated it when he made sense.
"oh," I muttered "I should call her, did you know Jarak asked her to move in?"
"yeah, last week. She moved in two days ago Mari. Where have you been?" He asked frowning at me. "They have been over every night." Why wasnt she telling me things I told her everything. I shook my head and got up. I felt sick to my stomach.
I had been focusing so much on myself that I didn't even bother checking up on my friends. I left them to deal with themselves. I was a shitty friend.
"I need to talk to Delta." I said and tried to walk away but Grey had grabbed my arm.
"Mari, give her time to tell you." He suggested pulling me back into the couch and into his lap.
"Why? If I know shouldn't she know that I know?" I asked and he shook his head.
"I'm not sure if I was supposed to tell you. Just give her time let her make the decision to tell you." I groaned but nodded and leaned back into the couch.
"I hate it when you make sense."
"Voice of reason that's me." He chuckled. I stuck my bottom lip out, pouting as I turned to him. He grinned and kissed me, biting my bottom lip. I grinned and leaned into the kiss. Falling deeper in love with him every time he kissed me.
"So what do you want to do tonight?" I asked pulling away slightly, my voice was barely above a whisper.
"Oh I've got some ideas." He grinned kissing me again.
