I was chilling in the car with the heat on high, waiting for Grey to get back in so we could leave. He was talking to Jarak while they tried to shove Nate into the back of Jaraks car, assuming Grey didn't want him in here with me.
Music was playing some weird Indy song that I didn't bother to change, mostly because I wasn't actually listening to it. I rolled down the window a notch just so I could hear what was going on.
"What do you think happened to them?" Jarak asked as Nate swung at him but he ducked and missed it. Grey and Jarak both had a hold of Nates arms while his feet were pressed against the sides of the door.
"No idea but he hasn't drank this much since college so it cant be good." Grey muttered, shoving him in the door again.
"No, you asshole." Nate yelled at them through gritted teeth.
"This is ridiculous, once we get in him and strapped in I am going to tell Mari to drive home and jump in the back so I can hold onto him while we drive home." I heard Grey say. So I was going home alone, great.
"Ill hold his arms, you get his feet." As Grey let go Jarak grabbed his other arm so he was in a head lock while Grey grabbed his feet and pushed so that he had no choice but to get awkwardly smaller into the car.
In the process of doing so, when he feet were moved and Jarak shoved him in, Nate banged his head against the side of the car going in. "That's going to hurt come morning." Grey chuckled, as he leaned in and buckled him up. Nate had stopped yelling and was almost basically knocked out from the head trauma.
"Start the car I'm going to go talk to Mari." Grey nodded towards Jarak who jumped in the front seat. Grey began walking over to me. Climbing into the car he shook a little as his body adjusted to the seat.
"You're going with him?" I asked as he nodded, rubbing his hands together.
"Go ahead and take the car home. I am going to go with Jarak to make sure Nate doesn't wake up and cause a wreck, he needs help right now. I will probably not be home til morning when we can get Nate up and back home." He explained. I nodded, not thinking much about it. Nate needed help, Grey was his best friend.
"Okay." I nodded again. His eyes scanned over my face, making sure, again, that I was okay.
"Are you sure you're feeling okay?" He asked and i nodded.
"I dont think I have a concussion so I am all good. Maybe a little bruising but thats it. Go help your friend." I answered, leaning in towards him. A bit
"Im sorry he hit you."
"Its fine I'm fine." I said with a small laugh to try and ease the tension. I knew he was mad but I didn't want him to be. I have done far worse while drunk. "Just come home early please." I didn't like sleeping alone so I doubt I got much more sleep tonight.
"I will. I love you." Grey said as he leaned in, closing the space between us. He placed a soft kiss on my lips, barley anything for me to hold onto before he was back out of the car and heading towards Jarak's.
I sighed, looking around before realizing that i wasn't going to be able to sit here all night and pout, and that I would have to take off with them otherwise Grey would never leave the parking lot. I climbed over the middle console of the car and put my foot on the break.
It had been a hot minute since i had drove an actual car so I took a second to adjust the seat and everything before taking off. Jaraks sleek black car pulled out behind me, vanishing into the night as I headed the opposite way.
