Melanie’s POV

Today school was alright.

I was cautious around Braden, and didn’t want to give anyone the impression that I had something with him. Just incase Damon told anyone about our relationship.

So all day I just did what I normally did, and I also texted Braden during classes.

Whenever I saw Damon in class or the hallways I ignored him and he did the same to me.

I was beginning to get close with Tyler and his group, especially Sami. I wasn’t as comfortable and close to them as I was to Liam and Baylie though.

It was finally the last period of the day; study hall.

I noticed that Damon wasn’t in class, maybe he ditched….

 Yesterday when Damon saw me and Braden and started insulting me, it made me angry. But now when I thought about it for some reason I felt bad for Damon and sort of guilty, I had no idea why though.  

 I didn’t have any work so I just talked to Tyler all of class about how excited I was for after school.

Tyler wasn’t really into sports or anything involving exercise. He was a straight A student and liked partying, he was a really social guy... Mr. Popular.

So study hall ended, we dropped our books off at our locker then went to the parking lot.

Tyler was telling a joke as we made our way to his car. 

“So the hairy man was all like, ‘butt-nuggets!’ and Chuck-”

“Hey Melanie!” a voice shouted. 

I looked over and saw who it was. She was wearing jean shorts and a white top that showed her cleavage and belly.

 I gave a small wave, “Hey Lexi!”

Damon was right next to her and I could feel his stare on me but I continued ignoring him, even though I wanted to do the opposite. I missed talking to him.

“Do you want a ride to your tryouts? I’m going there anyway.” Lexi offered.

On the back of her jeep I noticed there were two surfboards.

“No Lexi, we can’t. Remember we have to do that one thing.”  Damon said giving her a look.
