🐝Beyoncé's Point of View

Blue and I walked into the salon and I observed the business. It was a gorgeously glamorous lay out and decor that appealed to me. The contrast between the red and white chairs and mirrors was uniquely set in rows in the middle of the salon and there were many pictures around the walls. My 'mother' really did well in the salon because ten years ago it was out of her home.

"Beyoncé, it's so good to see you! Hi Blue,"the receptionist greeted us at the front.

"Hi, we need to get our hair done,"I looked up and above the receptionist's head behind her was a clear picture of me, Solange and my mom. I remembered that exact day; it was nearing Christmas the year of 2007 and Solange and I were both pregnant with our babies but Mom wanted us to do a holiday shoot so we did and that was the best one we did in my opinion. I managed to convince her to not include Mathew because this was after I found out but that was the last, happiest memory I had with my mom before I had to go.

"I'm sorry Miss Beyoncé but we're fully booked. Our hairdressers have clients coming in around now. There's no time,"she checked the time.

"I'm Beyoncé and this is my daughter. Make time. Come on Blue,"I grabbed my daughter's hand and sat us down in two empty seats. The hairdressers were in awe as they gawped at me but I was tired of everybody being shocked; it'd been too long for them to be so surprised. "Baby show me what hairstyle you want,"I told her flipping through a hair magazine.

"I want this one mommy,"she showed me on her phone and it was a cute little ponytail with braids that would definitely suit her.

"Aw, my baby all grown up!"I giggled and she sighed.

"Mommy! I'm 10!"she laughed and it hit me deep that she was really ten. I missed her entire life and now she was ten; I had so much to do with her and the first ten years of her life I couldn't get back.

"I know baby,"I pinched her cheek.

"What are you doing?"she asked me and I showed her my weave. "That's cute. My mommy is all grown up!"she copied me and I laughed.

"We'd like to do these styles please,"I showed the two hairdressers that were assigned to our seats.

"Have y'all got your own weave because both hairstyles require them?"she asked me.

"We'll just take Brazilian body wave for my daughter and Peruvian for me,"I told her and they nodded. They both went to grab the weaves and I took the opportunity to talk to my baby of my babies.

"You wanna ask me anything Blue?"I played with her curls. I always knew she'd have beautiful hair because all three of my daughters were born with a crown of captivating curls and Blue was no different from her sisters.

"Like what?"she asked confusedly.

"Anything baby. I know that when I had to leave you were days old so you were probably told things by your sisters and dad, but I'm alive in the flesh so you can ask me anything yourself,"she smiled and jumped in her seat.
