2:The Past

I start to drive. I have to go get some food for tonight.

I get to the store and buy some snacks for everyone.

I get out of the store and go to my car. I try to start it but it doesn't. Of course.

"Really?! Now!?" I yell out of frustration.

Everyone is still at school, or doesn't drive yet. Only Donghyuck. I roll my eyes. Thank god he gave me his number I guess.

Donghyuck. I need you to drive to the store in town. My car won't start.

Alright. I'll be there in a couple minutes.

Did he change his name again? Seriously!?

I wait for him to pull into the parking lot. I finally see him and he parks his car in front of mine.

We step out and I grab the jumper cables I have to have with me at all times, for when my car pulls something like this.

"You know what we're supposed to do?" Donghyuck stands there as I pop the hood of my car.

"Pop the hood of your car." I order.

He does it with no hesitation and just stands back. He knows not to get in my hair now, why not all the time?

"You know what to do? You need help?"

"I'm fine." I'm pretty short and I have a truck, so I have to stand on the tire to get to the battery.

I jump onto the tire and my foot slips a little bit. Donghyuck comes up behind me and puts his hands on my lower back to help me not lose my balance.

"Thanks." I say as I finish putting the clamps onto the battery.

I turn around and he grabs my hand to help me down.

"Here, use my shoulder." He pats it with his free hand.

I put my free hand on his shoulder and go down slowly. "Thanks." I say as I walk over to his car. He has a truck too, so I have to jump on the tire again.

"Here." He speeds up to help me on the tire. I use his shoulder again and he holds my back again.

"You really know what to do? I'd be so lost right now." He says as I put the clamps on the battery.

"Yea, my truck does this a lot." I finish with what I was doing.

I turn around and he grabs my hand and holds my arm that's on his shoulder for support.

"Alright, now we just gotta wait a bit." I sigh and fix my shirt.

"Alright." He leans against his truck. "It's hot out," He opens the passenger door to his truck and gestures for me to get in. "I have a good air conditioner." (A/N—be quiet you dirty minded people lmfao)

I jump in and shut the door. He gets in on the other side.

"While you're at it, rev the engine." I say as he sits down.

"Why?"

"It'll help my car start faster."

"Okay." He revs the engine. "So, you only know all this because it happens so often?"

"No." I sigh.

"Why else do you know so much?" He asks out of curiosity.

"Uhm, before my dad passed away, I used to help him with all kinds of things. Like cars, building, or just fixing things really." I look out the window.
