A/N: This was very spur of the moment. The video above until they start singing is what theyre doing
Clementine grinned, humming happily as she leaned back into Violet’s embrace, eyes fixated on the TV. After several long hours of cleaning the house, a long week of work, the two were finally able to relax and enjoy some time to themselves. Violet’s hands reached forwards, snaking around Clementine’s waist as she brought her chin to rest on her head. The movie on the TV resumed, Clementine closing her eyes to enjoy the quiet, only to hear the screen door slide open.
“What’re y’all watching?”
“Oh my fucking god.”
Louis gasped, jumping onto the couch on the other side of Clementine and Violet. “Is this Pitch Perfect?!”
“I love this movie!” Brody grinned, plopping down right next to Violet and Clementine, earning a glare as Violet scooted further back, away from the girl.
“Didn’t think you’d ever willingly watch girl shit like this, Vi,” Mitch grinned, taking his seat in the arm chair.
Clementine glanced behind the group to the sliding door, watching as Omar shut it. “Thanks Omar…” She sighed, remembering the time Louis had snuck in, eaten half the food in their fridge, and left the door open. She and Violet had woken up to snow in their living room. They really needed to start locking that door.
“I like this part,” Ruby grinned, Aasim cringing.
“It brings back bad memories.”
Clementine glanced to the boy, cocking an eyebrow, only for Violet to groan. “Aasim, don’t remind Brody.”
Brody then gasped, grinning. “Do you guys all still remember?!”
“How could we forget?” Marlon scoffed, rubbing his forehead. “You made all of us learn it. We were up until three am, Brody.”
“Uh, yeah, but the results were awesome!”
“Results of what?” Clementine questioned, getting a very excited grin from Brody.
Violet sat up. “Brody,-”
“C’mon! Get up get up! We’re doing it.”
“Dear god, please no…” Mitch cringed, only for Louis to grab his arms and pull him up.
“C’mon guys! We have to do it in sync with the movie!”
Clementine watched as each of the kids all stood up, taking their individual positions next to each other, standing in almost a line and blocking her sight of the TV. She had been the only one left sitting, and very obviously the only one confused. She glanced in Violet’s direction to question her through her gaze, only to grin at how unamused Violet looked.
“Ready?” Brody hyped, briefly glancing back to the TV, before looking towards the couch, at her.
“Please ‘velcome, ‘ze Barden Universities Bellas!”
Clementine glanced behind Louis at the TV seeing it was at the point in which the Bellas would be performing at the Worlds, only to glance back up when Brody clapped in exact sync with the TV.
Then, Violet and Louis began clapping along with her. Aasim and Mitch rubbed their hands together afterwards, all of them snapping in time and creating a sort of beat. A small smile grew on her face; this was so something Brody would do. It was so perfect it almost hurt.
The group continued to clap in tune with the TV, spinning and doing other complicated moves that made it hard for her to focus on what exactly was happening.
“This is the lamest sh-” “-Violet! No talking!” Brody scolded, Clementine watching with dopey eyes as Violet rolled her own, continuing to turn and do the clapping.
Only a few seconds later, the group began clapping all at once, in perfect sync with one another. Clementine half expected them to start singing with one another, only for those less enthusiastic, such as her favorite blonde, to return to their seats.
“What, you guys aren’t gonna sing…?” Clementine cheered, scooting a bit so Violet could climb back behind her.
“Nah, we didn’t learn that part. All of us fell asleep after we learned that.” Marlon sighed, Clementine grinning as Brody sat back down, squishing them. She turned to Violet, her grin remaining plastered on her face.
“That was cute,”
“Shush it.”
“Clem, do you wanna learn how to do it?!”
“No-”
“-Dear god, please no-”
“Clementine don’t say yes.”
“....Uhm, absolutely?!”
“Alright everybody, up! We’re teaching Clem and throwing her into the mix.”
Clementine cringed at a glare from Mitch. “I hate you. I hate you and your stupid hat. I hate your stupid house, and your stupid fridge, and your stupid friends-”
“-...hey wait aren’t we her frie-”
“-and your stupid-” Mitch paused, shaking his head at her. “-stupidness.”
“That’s not the spirit, Mitch! C’mon! One, two, one two three-”
