Hello guys! How have you been?
Embrace yourselves 'cause this is going to get emotional, kay? 😅😂

I'm currently pacing around my room, Chuck silently sitting on my bed as we wait for our Mom to get home. I could certainly use some motherly advice right now.
"Why don't you call her and hang out with her for a bit then?" My brother asks as I place one hand on my hip, the other scratching my chin in deep thought.
Teresa is leaving tomorrow, so today is basically her last day here, and even though it's currently 7pm and we as a group had met for a goodbye party until 5pm, I still feel like I need to talk to her alone.
"She'll think I'm crazy, Chuck. We've said our goodbyes. I think there's nothing more to say, really. She's leaving tomorrow and there's nothing I can do about it." I let out a groan of frustration as I pace even faster from side to side, my hands messing my hair even more than it already was.
"Thomas, trust me, if you don't stop moving right now it's me who's going to call Teresa and tell her you're head over heels for her." Chuck threatens and I immediately come to a stop in the middle of the room, my eyes opened wide to his direction. He only lifts his eyebrows nonchalantly.
"I just don't know what to do!" I move my hands around before sitting beside my brother. "I just feel like I need to see her one last time."
"Then call her. I'm pretty sure she won't turn you down or yell at you. I just think you should see her before she goes away for we don't know how long. And maybe she wants to see you, too."
Chuck's words snuck into my mind, repeating incessantly inside my head.
"You're right. I'm going to call her."
I stand up, reaching my phone on my pocket and dialing Teresa's number on it. Three beeps later she picks up.
"Tom?"
"Hey, Teresa."
"Is everything okay?"
"Yeah... um, yeah everything's alright. I know it's quite late but, look, I was just wondering if we could like, you know, meet at the park before you have to go... away." I start, ignoring Chuck chuckling over my nervousness. I'll want to see him deal with this when he gets here. "I mean, only if you want to, it's okay really, I'm sure you must be busy right now-"
"Yes."
"What?"
I hear a sigh from the other side, but by the tone of her voice I can sense she's smiling.
"Yes, silly, we can meet at the park right now."
"Oh... okay! Okay, I'll see you in ten."
"See ya."
I fist bump Chuck before heading out the door right at the time our Mom arrives, telling her in a few words that I'll explain it later everything when I get home.

"Hi, Tom." Teresa greets with a smile as we embrace each other and sit on the soft grass, still illuminated by the all too familiar sunset. "My parents will pick me up at 8 here since we'll have dinner together." She informs.
"Of course." I smile back.
We stay some moments talking about everything and anything, simply enjoying each other's company as the sun sets over in the horizon. We tell some funny stories, mines mainly about Newt and Minho, and hers about Sonya and Harriet. Soon, a comfortable silence fills the air as the sky turns purple.
"So... you're going back tomorrow." I say more to assure myself than anything else, trying to keep my expression from frowning.
"Yup." Teresa replies, popping the 'p', while she leans back on her hands propped behind her back. "I wish I could stay here, though." A sad smile forms on her lips and my heart almost breaks at the sight.
"Think about it on the bright side. You'll see the rest of your family there. You surely miss them and I'm sure they miss you, too." I retort, looking to my side to her deep blue eyes.
She nods softly. "Yeah, I miss them." Teresa stops for some moments. "But I never thought that I would meet so many amazing people when I moved here. I thought I would come here to focus on school and maybe find some friends, and I did, but I didn't expect you guys to be that close." She admits, briefly closing her eyes as the summer breeze hits her skin.
"Well, you can always visit us. And we can visit you too when we can." I assure, flashing a small smile in her direction.
"I know... but I got used to all this, you know? Sonya and Harriet, Frypan with his MasterChef obsession, Newt and Minho always bickering with each other..." I watch as she takes a deep breath, her eyes swiftly moving towards me but not fully meeting mines. "And I got used to you."
I don't notice my smile slowly fading until my mouth parts into an 'o' shape. Yes, I know we're close friends and all, but the way she referred to me just got me slightly by surprise.
"Teresa, I got used to you as well..."
And this is the moment I get to actually tell her what I feel and what I've been hiding for myself since I saw her that day at school when I arrived late to class. This is it. This is my only chance and as the sudden wave of confidence washes over my body, I can't stop the words from leaving my mouth.
"Teresa... I-" I stop mid-sentence when we both jump startled by a car honk sounding through the air.
Great... Just great! Just when I was about to say it, something had to obviously interrupt me.
We both suddenly stand up at the same time, facing each other, looking straight into each other's eyes one last time. It's time for Teresa to go.
My sudden confidence leaves my body as I see the sadness in her eyes, which are probably reflecting mines as well.
"I'm going to miss you so much, Tom..." Teresa whispers as she lunches herself at me, holding me tightly as her head rests on my chest. I hug her back, my head nuzzled on her shoulder as I try to absorb everything good from her and from having her here with me.
Even if I do feel sad for her to leave, I really just want what's best for her. I want her to be happy, and I'm sure she will be, wherever she will be from now on.
"I'm gonna miss you, too..." I pull slightly away when I hear her sniffling lowly, and I smile softly down at her tear strained face. I can't help the brimming of the tears in my eyes as well.
"No, no, no. No crying, okay?" I say as I wipe some tears from her cheeks, causing a few chuckles to leave her mouth. "We don't want to remember each other crying, do we?" I smile widely despite the small cloudiness in my vision, and I pull Teresa in for a hug again.
"You take care of yourself." I hear her mumble in my shoulder, her arms wrapped tightly around my neck.
"You too."
"I'll see you soon." I nod at her words and when we pull apart, Teresa gives me a small kiss on my cheek, before turning around with a watery smile on her face, waving goodbye as I do the same, watching her go away into a turn at the end of the road, until I no longer see her figure in front of me.
