ngumiti siya sa'kin at napatingin sa suot ko. nang makalapit na siya ay ibinigay niya sa'kin ang isang rosas na naiiba ang kulay sa lahat.

"happiest birthday to you, mi amor." bati niya sabay halik sa noo ko kaya nagsigawan ang lahat.

nakarinig pa kami ng ilang kantyawan.

"woooh! forever na ituuu~"

"ayan ang sir namin. haha!"

"ginalingan niyo masyado ah,"

"that's my son!"

nagtawanan ang lahat sa sinabi ng daddy ni Dale na si tito Fred.

napailing na lang si Dale sa kalokohan ng ama bago muling humarap sa akin.

"i may looked calm right now, but swear to God that i'm so nervous as hell. Lianna, maybe i hurt you in the past... i throw shits at you, and i know that i'm the worst man alive but you're still here beside me. you keep supporting me, comfort me when i'm sad, care for me at my best. you still love me despite of my attitude. that's why i'm so head over heels on you. you're so cute yet so strong. a woman that i don't want to ask for more. because you're perfect for me and i don't want to lose you like i did before. so baby, in front of our families and friends, i'm asking for your hand... will you marry me?"

samu't-saring emosyon ang nararamdaman ko habang patuloy na umaagos ang mga luha mula sa mata ko.

nakatitig ang lahat sa'kin habang hinihintay ang sagot ko. bakas sa mga mukha nila ang kaba at excitement.

i tooked a deep breath and clear the lump on my throat. "hindi..."

ang lahat ay nagsigawan sa pagka-dismaya.

diretso akong tumitig sa mga mata ni Dale na mukhang maiiyak na anumang oras.

"...hindi na kita papakawalan pa. so, it's a yes for me!" sinigaw ko ang last word na sinabi ko kaya nagkagulo ang lahat sa sobrang saya.

biglang pumatak ang mga luha ni Dale sa mga mata niya at abot-langit ang ngiti niyang binuhat ako.

natawa ako sa ginawa niya at napayakap sa kaniya nang mahigpit.

"i love you so much, Lianna." puno nang saya na bulong ni Dale sa tainga ko.

"i love you more," tugon ko.

he kissed me softly kaya mas lalo silang nag-ingay ngayon.

this is gonna be the best day of my life.

kaming lahat ay dumiretso sa dining room para magkaroon ng salo-salo.

"wow, parang kailan lang... ang mga batang ito ay naglalaro pa sa putikan. pero tingnan mo naman ngayon, magpapakasal na sila." madamdaming sambit ni dad sa amin.

"you're right. these kids are so in love with each other." tumatango-tangong sang-ayon ni tito Fred.

"i hope you two will lasts forever, kahit walang forever." kibit-balikat na saad ng mommy ni Dale na si tita Romana.

nagtawanan kami sa sinabi niya.

"tara, let's eat! but before that, let's pray first." ngiting paalala ni mommy sa amin.

"Lord, thank you for this wonderful night. please, blessed Lianna and Dale with your grace. don't let them end up with broken hearts. i wish that they can both survive with every problems that they will encounter. we thank you for the blessings you gave us daily. in Jesus name, everyone will say..." she trailed off.

"amen!" we said in unison.

masaya kaming kumain habang nagku-kuwentuhan at nagkakasiyahan.

we shared every moments, every memories, and every smile.

Dale also apologized for my parents and they forgive him.

"naks, eighteen na si Lianna! sakto talagang pwede na kayong magpakasal." masayang saad ni Nikka.

"ilan ba ang gusto niyong anak?" malokong tanong ni tito Fred sa'ming dalawa ni Dale.

we blushed for a second.

nag-'ayyyiiieee" sila na may mga mapanuksong tingin.

"sampu! sampu! sampu!" Warren giggled.

nagulantang ako.

SAMPU? SERYOSO BA SIYA? GRABE!

"kaya mo 'yan, bro!" Jaime, Dale's friend, cheered for him.

taas-babang kilay na nilingon ako ni Dale habang nakangiting nakakaloko sa'kin.

what the hell is he thinking this time?!
