Later on when Sherman went to go get Jill to bring her home with him, he met her on her front porch. There he admitted, "This is all my fault. I feel like if you never bothered with me, that you would still have all your other girl friends and no one would bother you about me."

"Stop blaming yourself. It's fine," Jill said. Not only would she still have had her friends, she also would probably have Austin...as he was going to tell her that he liked her before Hurricane Sherman hit.

"I know I'm different-"

"No, you're not. You're fine!" Jill said. "We should tell my dad I'm leaving and won't be back for awhile."

Sensing that they were talking about him, Mr.Holland appeared out of nowhere behind them on the front porch. Opening the front door and then smiling upon seeing how much he startled them.

"I'm gonna be taking Jill for tonight," Sherman said. "I mean, I'll have her back before nine or earlier...whatever you want."

"Don't worry about it, Norman," Mr.Holland said. "You're a very responsible kid and I appreciate you being around for Jill when all of her friends are being dirtbags to her."

"Dad..." Jill moaned.

Mr.Holland said, "I like him for you, Jill. He's a good boy."

Sherman smiled in response to that. "Thank you, Mr.Holland. By the way, it's Sherman."

"I won't forget next time, okay? I promise you."

As soon as Sherman and Jill were on the road again and away from her house, Sherman brought up to her, "He's probably gonna forget my name again."

"He's always been weird. It's not your fault. It's not like you're forgettable or anything. Oh my gosh, you're not forgettable," she told him. "I don't think once somebody meets you, that they can ever forget you."

"Scared to see my dad without his robes?" Sherman asked.

"I don't know!"

Well, within a few minutes Jill was outside the minister's home. She played with her scarf waiting for Sherman to find his house keys to unlock the door. Yup, here she was, standing there awkwardly until Sherman let them in.

She looked around. "Nice house....is anyone even home?" she asked as they stood in the living room.

Sherman said, "Maybe they're upstairs. Oh wait, no, there's one. Ewwww, it's my sister."

"Ewwww, Sherman," said his little sister, Eileen. Then she saw Jill. "Hey, you're the Lady Of The Church girl. I think you're so pretty."

"Thank you," Jill said.

"Why are you dating Sherman?"

"Goodbye, Eileen!" Sherman said.

"Is she staying for dinner?" Eileen asked. She had curly, dark brown hair and dark brown eyes, obviously features that matched up perfectly from each parent. Also, her face was coated in way too much make-up for a sixth grader.

"Yes, she's staying for dinner," Sherman said.

"Do you know that Sherman is literally a potato and has no athletic talent whatsoever? He got kicked off of a Tee-Ball team because he always hit the tee and not the ball!" Eileen told Jill. "He can't even throw a football. His last girlfriend was in the seventh grade-"

"Come on, Eileen! Go away!!!!" Sherman said.

Then Mrs.Goody came by. She was about five feet tall and Jill realized she basically had the same face as Sherman. She smiled upon seeing Jill. "Jill Holland, the Lady Of The Church. But more importantly, Sherman's girlfriend and oh my...you are a real cutie up close."
