"Is it done yet?" Nicole whined for what felt like the millionth time.
Sitting in a balled position on her bed Nicole nerves begin to rattle her to the point that she seemed on drugs.
"No! Now sit there and shut up." Annie barks.
She sits in a chair while she patiently waits the results to her friends fate.
Sitting and waiting is worst then actually seeing the test results! At least with seeing the facts, there is no point of dwelling on the possibilities of the outcome you don't want to happen.
While waiting? It's like your life flashes before your eyes! Like your waiting for your life to leave your corpse.
You see everything you've done vs everything you wanted to do! And if you could? That you would go back and change things to keep it from coming to that point that lead you here.
That's how Nicole is feeling right now, like she's waiting for the inevitable to fall into her lap and wishing she could put it back to wherever it came from.
Annie watches her best friend fidgets on her bed wrapping her arms around herself like she's freezing. A habit she does when she's on edge.
"No matter what it's going to be fine." Annie says trying to comfort her.
"No it won't Ann! Mom and Daddy will be furious, I'm only eighteen years old who hasn't even started college yet. What am I going to do with a freaking baby?" Her voice chokes.
dropping her wall barriers to Annie the only person in her life she allows herself to be weak around, not even her parents ever saw this side of her.
The scared little girl she feels she is now. 'Ding! Dink! Dink!' the sound of the bell sounds alerting them it's time.
"And that will be the bell, you ready?" Annie ask standing to her feet moving her Mohaganey locks behind her own ear.
"No! But do I have a choice?" She reply standing up on her feet and heading towards the little device that holds her fate in its hands.
Walking up to the device she nervously lifts it, then drops it before pacing back and forth.
Taking a deep breath for a couple of seconds she catching a grip and heads over to the test and lifts it up to her eyes looking for the answer to it.
Seeing a big plus sign! Her breath catches in her throat. "It's positive! I'm fucking pregnant! EEEEEEE!!!!!" She shrieks like a banshee.
Wrapping Nicole in a tight embrace she gently takes the device from her hand.
Annie looks at it herself and sees it's true! "I'm so sorry bestie but congrats you're a mommy! This could be a good thing though who knows."
Breaking the embrace Nicole looks over at Annie her cold blue eyes riddled with tears now has fire in them.
"How could this be a good fucking thing? This is bad! very bad! Annie. How could I hide this from daddy? Or What about mom? She might not want to be a grandmother so early in her life! What about Dave? He might not even want it... Oh god! I think i'm going to be sick." She groans holding her stomach sinking to the floor in a ball
Guilt takes over Annie as she kneels down and hugs Nicole.
"Shit! I didn't think what I've said through, sorry. I know it might sounds bad, but it could get better! stressing to much is not good for the baby. He or she needs a strong willed mom to keep them safe and secured." Annie hope saying this could snap her friend out of her funk.
