"Mommy, can we go to the movies today?"

"Yeah? What do you want to watch baby?"

I finally parked my car in the tight space and grabbed my key before I turned it and pulled it out of the ignition hold. I clicked my seat belt off and stepped out of the car before turning to the backseat door to get Amelia out. She was seated in her child seat, wrapped cozily in a big fluffy teddy bear coat I purchased for her recently due to the cold weather changes. November in Manhattan was always the worst yet beautiful with the early Christmas decorations.

We loved Christmas.

With Christmas around the corner, Amelia was very excited. She loved Christmas just like me and always will because she claims it is her favourite holiday season.

"Can we watch Home Alone? Please mommy?" She pleaded,

I stifled a laugh as I took her out of her car seat. She had an insane obsession with Home Alone and always asks me to leave her home alone on accident or on purpose on Christmas so she can do whatever she pleases. I shook my head at myself before I kneeled down to her and placed a kiss on her forehead.

"Of course we can sweetie, whatever you want to watch." I laugh, "But first, you have to promise me that you will eat all of your lunch today? Mommy has packed your favourite lunch today, okay?" I assure as I fix her hair.

A smile spread wide across her beautiful tiny little face, revealing all her tiny teeth before she nodded at me.

"Okay mommy! I promise I'll eat my lunch today." She promised.

I stood up and and locked my car before I walked her to her school gates. Once we got there, I wrapped my arms around my baby and wished her goodbye before her favourite kindergarten teacher took her in. I turned back to my car, stepped in and immediately drove straight towards to work, obviously prepared for today. It was a Friday today and Fridays are always hectic.

I reached the hospital in fifteen minutes and within half an hour of attending work, I already got my first patient. She was a thirty-year-old woman with fertility problems. I examined her whole reproductive system as she required urgent assistance and found that she had an unbelievable amount of cyst all over the lining of her womb. It was a huge relief that she came sooner than she did because I was so sure that if she had come to me later, her cysts would've turned into an abscess which would've also burst and cause septicaemia that could unfortunately end her life.

Right now, I was contemplating of a diagnosis and all I could think of was PCOS. It has to be that.

"This is a case of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, Mrs Walker. I can assure you that this problem can be dealt with right away. Myself and my colleagues will do everything to help you in every way, but in this case it's just a process of waiting." I smiled as I write down her report,

"Very well Dr Carter, I am glad you are able to diagnose me with something at least." She said in a pleased manner, "Will this reduce my chance to become pregnant?" She asked,

I looked up at her with a sympathetic smile and placed my hand on hers before I spoke,
"Of course not, it's not always the case. We can do everything to help get you pregnant, though I do have to admit that it will take time however, don't you worry at all, you will get a pregnancy out of this eventually." I assured her once again. Mrs Walker was honestly the sweetest and to see her through her sadness made my heart clench.
