So I could care less about how many followers I have or how many followers another person has or what people think of me so I don't see why people are still trying.
All of this screenshotting and posting it as "proof" on accounts is petty. If I do it I blur out the names of the people so they won't get attacked but no one is perfect so I don't se why people are pointing out other people's flaws all the time like its any of their business.
Most of the people on this app are teenagers and in case you didn't know teenagers fuck up all the time. You can't control what someone does or what someone says but you can at least not encourage hurtful speech.
I only came here to write stories and do what I love not to be involved with anything. So I apologize to anyone who I have hurt if I have hurt you. Not everyone is perfect so you can't expect me to be positive all the time because I have my downfalls too.
Even the most positive people can snap and say things they don't mean so before you actually judge someone for saying something at least think that they are only human and everyone does it.
Did you know 95% of our communication is through facial expressions and body language and 5% of it is through speech? Most miscommunications happen online because of that lack of expression and body language/gestures so you really shouldn't go pointing out people's flaws online if 95% of the communication is missed. But, if you don't believe me on this then look it up.
It's still very annoying how toxic this app has become because all people are doing are finding ways to bring others down and finding ways to make themselves feel better instead of using it for the intended purpose of writing and reading.
Please don't stoop so low as to call someone names or say something hurtful to them just because they did it to you.
This whole toxic mentality spreading around this app is disgusting honestly. So, apparently it seems like it's bad to be friends with someone who someone else you used to talk to had a little drama with. I'm not getting in the middle of drama so I don't see why the mention of someone else was brought up, I don't choose between two sides because I never take sides and if anyone ever asks me to choose then I'd choose to stay out of it because it had nothing to do with me. I get people can hurt other people but it doesnt need to be brought up in public for any reason, under any circumstance whatsoever.
Always remember you don't know what people are going through behind that screen. There parents could be at each other's throats 24/7 or even being abusive which is awful. They could be dealing with bullies and are using online platforms to escape that life. They could even be fighting with inner demons that no one knows about, not even their parents. Someone they loved could have passed away recently. They could be dealing with suicidal thoughts which no one would know about because they've never had the chance to speak to anyone. They could be dealing with not being accepted by their family for any reason.
With technology now in the mix, bullying online has risen. It doesn't just happen on "the playground" anymore as my mom used to say. It follows the person online. Now, idk about you but getting bullied online by people I know offline hurts more than being bullied by strangers who don't know me at all and I've been through both. No one can deny that seeing a hurtful comment doesn't hurt them because obviously in some form or another it will, no matter what the person but I don't see the pleasure people get out of it when they have people encouraged to take a "side" n an argument that doesn't concern others. That's the difference between offline and online. Everything online is permanent and we will take it with us (through our virtual selves) to the grave because everything is saved under our carbon footprints. Whereas arguments offline are just forgotten about in a day or two because people know they are irrelevant and don't need a continuation so what pleasures people about continuing something that died?
Why are people getting more and more toxic online? That's the real question, as a generation we are pretty fucked up and I'd be happy enough to leave this virtual life as there are plenty of other writing platforms where I can publish stories so I don't see why people are caught up in things that don't matter at all.
Tbh it's been fun writing Bullied by FW but people forget that I don't care about how many reads I have or anything because honestly if I leave I can publish the book on a different platform anyway 🤷♀️ I save every chapter of all of my books in case this account gets deleted through Wattpad bugs.
But even so if I ever left, I'd let close friends know if I plan on coming back or if I was joining a different site.
Last note:
NO ONE IS PERFECT! Even the people that try and bring others down.
