Having decided to return to their homes where Winter Blossom would deal to her marriage alliance, and he would await her arrival to the Peach Tree woods, they then agreed to one final night in her Mortal Realm home.  Mo Yuan had already purchased all he would need to prepare their dinner andseeing as they were no longer at odds with each other, he took his time to create what he felt was the perfect dish  while she played the zither for him.

Listening to the skillful way she played, he was hoping that the tune was one that might give away her Tribe or at least which part of their world she was from, however he was pleasantly surprised to hear a piece of music that had been composed by himself.

Of course she knew this which was why she played it, only she wanted to see what his reaction would be and if he would give himself away, only he kept his back to her even though his smile grew at her beautiful interpretation of a song he had written for his mother.  The song was known by many throughout the world, only he had never heard it played so beautifully before that eventually he could not help but turn around.

Though the moment he did, the flicker of mischief she had quickly drawn back the moment his eyes fell on her face, soon had him wondering what she was up to.  This was a part of her that he loved.  He never quite knew exactly what was going through her mind because she was so unpredictable.  In fact there were many facets to her nature that he had learned during their time together and together they created a very complex woman.  Even then as she played his song on an instrument she had obviously mastered and so beautifully, there was still a hint of mischief.

But seeing as she made no move to stop, he smiled at the sweet smile she was now giving him, before turning back to their dinner.  Mo Yuan was not an overly confident cook, but he knew enough from his days as a young soldier, to put together a basic meal.  And over the years, he also learned how to blend herbs and spices to create unique flavours which is what he was doing while she continued to fill the warmth of her home with beautiful music.

Steaming the rice slowly in one pot, he then took his fish fillets from the marinade which contained his secret ingredients of basil, garlic oil, lemon grass and lemon juice then placing them into small dish he then topped them with tomato and onion before placing the entire dish into a shallow pan filled with steaming hot water.

Quickly moving to a large fry pan, he then threw in small cubes of yam, swede and parsnip and while they were cooking he then removed the beans and carrots from another pot and drained them.  By the time he had finished, his fish was cooked which he then began to dish out into small bowls before setting the table.

Watching him as she then moved onto a tune her brother had written and one she knew he would not know, she couldn't help but marvel at how very domestic the entire scene felt to her and as she watched him dishing out a meal that smelled absolutely divine, a feeling of peace washed over her.  It was the first time she had ever experienced such a beautiful calm as she did then and it only had her wondering what life on Kunlun Mountain must be like.

She could not recall feeling anything remotely close to overwhelming peace when she had been there, in fact she had been so lost to her memory of his initial healing that she had not really given any thought to the atmosphere of where she was.  Then again, she had been in a healing chamber and her mind had been too foggy most of the time but to think that life would be just like that moment was something that had the tears beginning to well at the corners of her eyes.

But as she thought about what life would be like with him as his wife the sudden revelation that she would also become the mistress of Kunlun began to frighten her.  She had no knowledge of boys that young, teaching or even what would be expected of her.  She knew so little about Kunlun Mountain that the thought of governing over a group of young male monks soon had her heart hammering in her chest as fear began to build.
