Mo Yuan had almost put his life as the Master of Kunlun on hold with Winter Blossom there and he was beginning to wonder if he would ever settle back down once she was his wife. But with only five weeks until their wedding and a plan to put into action, he used their last day together, before she went home to show her around the lower valleys which she was dying to see.
From the Mountain, the entire lower valleys looked like an enormous expanse of colourful vegetation and forestry, but as he led her onto a pebbled path that swiftly delved off into a valley of rich blooms and foliage, her eyes widened at the magnificent sight that unfolded before her very eyes. This was really the beauty of Kunlun and why it was considered one of the Wonders of their world.
No Immortal, no matter how high or low their essence or cultivation, could miss the iridescent colours of the blooms that ranged from deep purples, blues and greens, to every shade and hue of yellow, reds, and pinks and every colour in between. The colours shimmered and dazzled, yet did not overbear the senses, because the thick darker hues of the foliage and trees acted as the back drop which wove a perfect harmonious compliment to each other.
Hand in hand, they strolled the paths aimlessly. Mo Yuan had not visited the low valleys for some time and usually only to check on his birds, of which he kept a small collection of rare parrots and even rarer butterflies which she caught sight of the deeper into the Valleys they went.
"Physician, this place is so beautiful. You must spend a lot of time keeping it looking so lovely." she whispered in awe as Kunluns Valleys opened up to her the moment they entered the west side which gave her a much greater view of the pristine and lush forests that rose up all around her.
In the distance she could see a waterfall, and its faint spray could be heard which had her leading them towards it as they talked quietly so as not to disturb the untold chrysalis she could see hanging on almost every branch they passed.
"I rarely spend time here, but if you like it so much then perhaps you might like to create a sanctuary of your own." he said which instantly had the idea blossoming in her head.
It was a wonderful thought and one that once again had her thinking of children, which was not something she had thought about at all until she found out that Physician was really her betrothed. And the thought of creating a private sanctuary for Mo Yuan and their children while still remaining close to his Disciples while also giving them a little privacy to be a family, her smile grew wider.
"Physician, how do you feel about children? I mentioned it before, but you did not seem to be all that excited. Do you want children?" she asked as they continued to walk towards the waterfall.
For a second, she thought she had felt his hand tighten against her own, but when she looked up, his face was still serene and calm, though she could not see his eyes.
"I think, once you are settled on Kunlun Mountain, we can discuss it then. You will be leaving a way of life for a much different one and seeing as my Disciples have taken an instant liking to you, I know you will be kept very busy with them in the initial days. Our way of life is very different to what you are used to Winter Blossom, so I do not want you over exerted and too tired for me." he said jesting down at her with a twinkle in his eye.
Holding his warm gaze, Bai Qian frowned as the realization that he might not want children began to hit her. And though she really wanted to address it, she felt that he would merely sidestep the issue again, and being their last day together before she had to leave him, she really wasn't in the mood for an argument or angst of any kind, so nodding her head in agreement, she continued to pull him along until eventually they arrived at the waterfall she had seen in the distance.
