The next morning Mark cautiously comes over to the house to check out Dan. Phil leads him up to the room and walks in first to wake up Dan, asking Mark to wait outside the room for a moment. Phil shakes Dan's shoulder and Dan opens his eyes slowly, yawning and stretching before sitting up.

"Time to get up," Phil says quietly and Dan smiles despite being in pain and feeling like a piece of glass bound to break. Phil brings over a pile of clothes and Dan gets dressed, struggling a little but managing. "Mark is going to give you some things to make you feel well enough to execute the mission."

"Okay," Dan replies and Mark steps into the room, instructing him to sit up on the edge of the bed.

Mark checks over him, making sure to check everything he needs to before deciding what to give him. He asks Dan about symptoms and things that have been happening due to the poison.

Mark nods before replying. "Alright well I can give you some pain killers and a few things to hold the poison off." He reaches into his duffel bag that he brought with him and pulls out a few bottles of things and a syringe with a needle. "It should last until the end of today which us plenty of time for you to get the cure," he explains and Dan nods.

He fills a small syringe full of different things like vitamins and painkillers and a second one full of other things presumably for the poison. Dan looks away as they're both injected into his bloodstream through the vein in his arm. Mark puts all his stuff away and leaves.

Phil comes into the room after he leaves with real food in his hand and water. Dan eats some sort of chicken and veggies while Phil gives Dan a run down of the plan. Phil also gives Dan an earpiece and a dagger along with a handgun. It takes maybe a half hour before Dan begins to finally feel better but he gets there. The two head downstairs and Dan feels almost perfectly fine that he doesn't need Phil's help at all which Phil finds mildly astonishing.

Dan talks with PJ and Adrian about how it's all going to go and Phil stands back from Dan, watching in the background jittery and anxious. Unfortunately PJ is one of the people here who can tell how Phil almost always feels and notices Phil leaning against the wall. PJ walks over with a small smile.

"Feeling alright?" he asks and Phil gives a slight nod but he's hesitant. "No you're not. What's wrong?"

Phil shakes his head and smiles. "It's nothing really," Phil replies, trying to play off how much he's really worrying but PJ doesn't buy it and just raises a brow at Phil's attempt. "Okay. I'll admit that I'm just a little nervous about how this will all go."

PJ smiles at his friend. "I am too but it'll be okay. We'll all be there by your side fighting for the same cause as you," PJ reassures but Phil doesn't really believe it and tears flood his vision.

"I just need to be alone for a little bit," he chokes out before quickly going upstairs and closing the door behind him.

PJ sighs as he looks after him and decides to not go after him. He turns back to the table and sits down in his previous spot.

"What's up with him?" Dan asks and PJ shrugs. He honestly didn't know what was up with him. "Should I go talk to him?"

"I don't know. You could try," PJ responds doubtfully and Dan nods, standing up and quietly going up the stairs.

He lightly knocks on the door but he gets no response so he slowly peeks open the door to see Phil sobbing into a pillow on the bed. Dan closes the door softly behind him and Phil notices him.

"Go away," he says not even caring who it might be and Dan sighs.

"I just came to see what's wrong," Dan says quietly and Phil sniffles as he tries to compose himself. He sits up and Dan looks into his blue and puffy eyes.

Phil shakes his head. "I just want to be alone right now," he mutters and Dan nods, turning to leave. "Actually stay, please?"

Dan smiles turning back around and going over to Phil, sitting next to him on the bed. "So what's wrong?" Dan asks and Phil looks over at him.

"Thinking about everything your father did to us... I just don't want to go back to that place again. It just makes those bad memories fresh in my mind thinking about it and being there feels like it's going to be hell," he explains.

"I get it," Dan replies. "Going back there for the ball just made all those memories so vivid and I hated it but we can get through this, okay?"

Phil nods with a small smile. "Okay." Dan leans over and pecks Phil on the lips but Phil pouts as he pulls away. "That was way too quick," he says as he leans into Dan and kisses him with more passion and more meaning. Dan smiles against his lips and Phil gently grazes his teeth over Dan's bottom lip making Dan giggle. The two pull away and Phil smiles as Dan's cheeks turn a rosy pink.

"Such a tease," Dan says and Phil laughs, holding onto Dan's hand and hoping that he can do this forever.

Yes I know it's short. Just you wait...
