Part 8: Trust is Tested

          I woke up the next morning to Aiden missing from the bed. I sat up panicking wondering were he could be. Then I smelled the scent of food cooking downstairs. I opened my phone to see the time, 8:00 am. I got dressed into a new pair of clothes. I put on a white t-shirt black jeans and a grey jacket. It wasn't anything special, I like simple and plain clothing. I headed downstairs and into the kitchen to see Aiden cooking. He had an apron around him. I couldn't help but laugh. Who uses aprons anymore.

"What are you doing?"

          I tried to hold in my laughter. Yet it was difficult. He had this innocent look on his face that almost made me feel bad.

"I decided to cook for everyone, since im aloud to stay."

          He handed me a plate of food. When I saw the food I couldn't help but go, wow. Eggs, toast, strawberries, bacon and a glass of water. I looked at him setting down the plate. I walked up to him and gave him a kiss on the cheek, whispering in his ear "thanks babe". His face turned red so quickly. I laughed so hard then.

"You almost look normal!"

          I said to him trying to calm down. Then Jeremy and Annabella came from downstairs with surprised looks. Aiden walked up to the both of them, handing them each a plate. They sat down looking at the food before eating.

"Thank you Aiden."

          Jeremy said as he gestured for Aiden to join us. He smiled and then fixed a plate and sat down. After two minutes of eating I was done and excused myself from the table. I told Aiden thank you and then told Jeremy I was gonna go for my morning run. That's what I always did, it woke me up the rest of the way. I could also hear the birds singing to one another. It was very relaxing to be outside as a wolf now. Ever since the day meeting Aiden for the first time as a wolf, and fighting that mutt made me relize that this is who I am. No one was gonna take that away from me. I walked out the back door and stripped my clothes. I felt my teeth begin to change, the the hair on my body began to grow, then my nails grew to claws then every bone in my body began to change to a wolf. Once a wolf I shook my body to wake myself up. It was the first time doing a run early in the morning. The few times I ran was later in the day around 11:00 I looked out into the woods and headed off towards the lake I went to before...

          I was sitting by the lake watching the same eagles flying above. Watching them made me think of Aiden and me. I wanted that to be us, not flying of course, but actually together without worry of being taken or hurt by vampires or other wolves that disagreed with us. I wanted him, I wanted him to know that I loved him. Sure he might already know that, but I wanted to tell him those words. Who would of thought my mate would be a vampire. If you were to tell me that when I was a pup I wouldnt even know what you were talking about.

          I suddenly turned around once I heard a stick crack from behind me. I growled and immediately got ready to attack. Thats when Aiden came out from behind a tree. With his hands up he walked slowly up to me.

"Easy now, its just me!"

          I stopped growling and walked over to him. I wanted to punch him for scaring me. He should know better then to creep up on me. He put out his hand to pet me and I let him. His touch was amazing. When he rubbed my head and my ear I relaxed, I felt safe. Like there were no other worries, no mutts, no vampires, just us alone. I loved it and didnt want it to end. I could get used to feeling this, to having him at my side.

"Can you turn back for me, I have a surprise."

          I looked up at him with confusion in my eyes. Then I remembered that he wouldn't understand. I wasnt gonna change back, my clothes were back at the house. So I just pushed him down with my paws and layed there with my head resting on his chest. He didnt even try to resist. He just kept rubbing my head. Then my eyes felt heavy and then everything went dark...

          All of a sudden I was in my bed. Confused I looked to my side to see Aiden laying there on his stomach. I looked infront of me to see the same movie was still on but at the end of the movie. I looked back at Aiden and gently shook him.

"Aiden, wake up!"

Aiden slowly woke up and looked at me.

"What is it?"

"What happened at the lake?"

"What?"

"The lake when you seen me as a wolf!"

"What are you talking about we were watching a movie?"

          So it was a dream? I was really dreaming about Aiden. Well that is new but it wasnt like I didnt enjoy it. Its better than nightmares. I rolled onto my back and got on my phone. 12:00 pm. I sighed when I realized it was all just a dream, no warm breakfast, no cute cuddle if you call it that. I rolled back over and layed up next to Aiden. He then wrapped his arms around my waist.

"What were you lonely?"

          I relaxed and pushed closer to him. My back against him, I smiled and held his hand inter locking our fingers.

"I love you Aiden, you know that right?"

          Aiden got up and was leaning over me just enough to see my face. I also turned partially so we could meet our eyes. He leaned it and kissed me. Then I kissed him back slowly  while I turned the rest of the way over. My hand gripped the bottom of his shirt as he began to kiss my jawline and slowly to my neck. Then he stopped and pulled away.

"Whats wrong?"

          His eyes were red and he looked worried.

"I could hear your heartbeat and smelled your blood, we cant do this. Its too dangerous!"

          I grabbed his shirt and pulled him to me and I kissed him. I told him that he cant hurt me as we kissed. I felt a tear touch my cheek as he said that he wouldnt be able to control himself. That I could die.

"You wont kill me, i trust you."

" I wont take that risk."

"Please Aiden just do it!"

"No why it could hurt you!"

"I want this, I want us to be comfortable with each other."

          After a few moments of silence his forehead met mine.

"Only once."

          I lifted my head, moving it to give him room. He leaned in and kissed my neck slowly. Then I felt his fangs slowly enter my neck. I let out a small whine then there was a great pleasure that entered my body. It was like nothing ive ever felt before. After a few seconds my eyesight was starting to go blurry. I shutted my eyes gripping his shirt. I could feel my pulse begin to slow. Then I felt a relief was over me as his fangs came out quickly. There was little pain from his fangs being ripped out of my neck. I opened my eyes to see Aiden with little blood dripping from his mouth and eyes blood red. His skin looked more lively then before. His eyes filled with tears, he apoligized as my hearing went to normal.

"No its okay, thank you so much."

          I hugged Aiden as I kissed his neck and held him in my arms.

"I told you, you wont kill me."

Aiden kissed my shoulder moving the neck of my shirt away so he could kiss it. A chill went threw my body as I gripped his shirt tightly. My other hand held his neck as I kissed his neck slowly tracing from the top of his neck to his shoulder. He pushed back to take a breath and we looked at each others eyes.

"Babe your eyes turned?"

"Guess the other half aproves."

          I grabbed the bottom of his shirt and lifted it over his head and off his body. We began kissing again with my hand rubbing his back. Then his hand went under my shirt and I let him take it off. Take a guess what happened next.
