Part 9: A Dangerous Enemy

"A hour later"

"Damian, Aiden come downstairs!"

"Coming!"

Me and Aiden headed downstairs to the living room, and standing in the door way was someone I thought was dead. It was chase, I almost began crying right there as I sprinted acrossed the room to hug him. I gave him a tight hug while asking him questions.

"Where have you been, why haven't you contacted us, what happened?!"

So many emotions flooded my body. I was upset that he has been gone for so long, angry because of the time he decided to return, worried about what happened. Tears escaped from my eyes as I pushed away.

"We needed you! You left us, why, why did you go!"

"Damian i!"

"Just shut up! I cant think right now!"

I ran passed Chase and out the door. It was too sudden. I didn't know what to feel about the situation. My brother is finally back, we needed him, I needed him. He was always there for me when Jeremy wasn't. When mutts started coming into our territory more, when I was stuck inside being forced to forget my friends. He helped calm me down and was always there. Once he left it was as if I was stabbed in the back twice. I cried for weeks without eating. I never wanted my family to be separated. That's day he left, it was the worst. I have memories, dreams, nightmares of that day. It always has Jeremy and Chase fighting before Chase runs out the door with me running after him. Only to see that he is gone...

While I was running I threw off my shirt and transformed. It was the quickest I ever did it. I jumped into the air and when I hit the ground I was a wolf. I don't know if it was anger or my mixed feelings that accelerated the transformation but I didn't care. I showed no signs of slowing down. I just kept running. Deeper and deeper into the woods. While I was running I heard leaves and branches moving in the distance, whatever it was it was faster than me. I had to keep running. I couldn't turn around without a risk of it following me to my house were my pack was. Then out of nowhere something smacked into my side making me slam into a tree. My body went right threw it, making me cry out in pain. I looked into the distance as a blade flew right passed my face, grazing the skin. I was stuck, frozen in fear. Then out in the distance I made out a figure. I couldn't make out any features yet he was still hiding in the tree. But he was well built and very fast. A red glow could be seen in his eyes. Then I seen his black hair waving in the air. That's when I transformed back, but not without screaming in pain as my voice went from wolf to human. When I turned back I tried to get up but fell right back down. I didn't know what to do. Who is this man, why is he doing this.

"Kalmin?"

I said quietly and painfully. He then jump down from the tree landing on the ground behind some brush. When he stood up he gave off fear and power from him. Something I've never felt before. I shine came from his hand as he was wearing a silver ring. He had tattoos of tally marks on his forearm. On his back was a hunting bow. With two arrows in one hand.

"Im worse than kalmin, im your fucking doomsday, I murder insects like you!"

His voice was deep and aggressive. I've never been more terrified of anyone. I could see his other eye, it was yellow. Panic rushed threw my body as a thought in my head came threw that I would fear for a very long time.

"Are you a h-h-hybrid?"

"Hehe you guess correctly, surprising for a dumb dog like yourself!"

His face was finally noticeable and the face I saw would haunt me forever...
