Loki fell backwards, allowing himself to revel in the soft darkness, and the sweet silence of the void. Normally he would be frightened, but it was darkness that he was wishing for. He was just so done with everything. Peace. It covered him with a delight he had not had for a long while. As he fell, his vision began to fade slowly, softly, along with the horrible people that he had been forced to deal with his entire life. the lie that he had been forced to deal with his entire life. His world had crumbled around him and now he was forced to face the reality, and he did not exactly enjoy the morbid picture that it had shown.
He crashed to the ground as though he were a meteor, but he was simply a person. Nothing much worth thinking about. Loki had crashed, unconsciously, until he was suspended by what could possibly be invisible force. Pulling him both towards the ground, and away from it. His limbs were loose, and limp, it almost looked as though he were dead. Yet it was clearly not that, as his eyes were closed, and one could see his chest moving, if not only faintly. Slowly, by the same invisible force that held him above the ground, it lowered him towards the floor of the this earth. A earth that none knew existed. A female came into the clearing, and knelt before the fallen person, his eyes fluttered but he showed little signs of consciousness otherwise. Despite shaking, and smooth words spoken from her mouth. She lifted him, with little difficulty she noted anxiously, and rushed to her father. Surely he would know better than her what to do.
Loki groaned. He ached all over. He knew that there was a person watching him from the corner of the room. the presence got closer to him, and yet Loki could sense no malice from him, though perhaps mere curiosity in plenty.
"You are awake." Loki did not respond, silently checking himself over. His magic had pulled on him suddenly has he had closed in on this earth's force. It had gone frantic and worked swiftly to lessen his fall to the ground, yet it had yanked on his body, causing him to be incredibly sore, and it was likely to stay that way for a bit longer.
"Thank you, ever so much, for stating the obvious." Loki said, rolling his eyes, and sitting up.
"What..." The person had not much time before Loki was sitting, and after that standing. He was face to face with whom Loki would guess was at least somewhat wealthy given his garments, and he was definitely educated, based on the look about him. It was likely that he was the healer in this realm. Wherever this realm was. "You should not be standing." the person said. Loki gave no indication that he heard what the other said other than a slight raise of the eyebrow. Loki took a swift look over the person.
Dark hair, light eyes, slightly tanned skin, long hair, an elegance about him, pointed ears. It was not hard to determine what this man was. Yet he was most certainly not on one of the Elvish realms, meaning that he had somehow slipped in-between. Lovely. Another issue. This man before him was no man, but an Elf.
"Yet here I am, standing. Nothing seems to be too horridly wrong now does it?" Loki asked, slightly annoyed that this man...uh, Elf...would underestimate him. Of course he knew that this person likely had no idea who or what he was dealing with, but it would always annoy him, he could not help that.
"Where are you from?" The Elf asked.
"A place better brought down to dust than carved in memory." Loki said softly, the elf looked at him oddly.
"There is a meeting, you should attend." Loki looked up at the Elf slightly surprised.
"A meeting that I should attend? Am I on trial or something?"
"No," he said simply. "I simply believe that it would be beneficial for you, and that considering you are here, you may as well come. I have a feeling you will be more than capable of providing insight to what we are discussing."
"Who are you, exactly?" Loki asked.
"I am Elrond, and you are in Imladris, otherwise known as Rivendale." Loki nodded his head, and looked away.
Loki eventually decided to leave his chambers and actually go to this meeting thing. He figured that he might as well, considering that this Elrond person had invited him. It seemed to be pretty important too, and he was more than a little curious.
"You came," Elrond said, waiting outside the door, greeting all of the guests to arrive. Loki saw humans, Dwarves...his lip curled upwards unbidden memories wishing to push their way through the corners of his mind before he thrust them back...a sorcerer, and elves. Though these were not like those he saw currently....they seemed to be of a different race. Blond, or auburn hair, and blue or green eyes. Even their dress was less fancy, more light. As though more for climbing, running, and leaping-Loki could not help but like these conclusions-and a creature that he could not name.
"You may sit between the elves and dwarves." Loki nodded stiffly, and strode forwards before taking his seat. Those looked at him curiously, mostly the men and dwarves, though the elves were far more subtle in their curious gazes."Now that we are all here...let us begin."
