Chapter 5: Bowling Sneak Aways
Word Count: 2810The days had gone quickly and Alec was getting more comfortable in the Downing household. He knew not to get to comfortable. His days were limited and he was waiting to find a new residence any day now.
He walked down the stairs of the house, bringing his hand up to cover his mouth, a long yawn escaping. It hadn't been to long since he had woken up. He wasn't aloud to sleep in as long as he wanted here. "Morning everyone!" He said fake cheerfully, walking over to the coffee and pouring himself a cup.
"You know, it wouldn't hurt to wear a shirt every now and then." Pierce commented, taking a sip on his drink as Alec looked down at his bare chest.
"Some people don't mind." He wanted to say as he looked over at Ethan, who could hardly keep his eyes off of him. He smirked and leaned back, biting his lips as Ethan's eyes connected with his. "I get hot easily." He answered, licking his lips. Ethan smiled, blushing slightly as he looked down at his hands.
"So, do you have an plans for the day?" Pierce questioned, finally putting down the newspaper with an excited smile.
He didn't have anything special planned but he was thinking of going to see some old friends, just to hang and catch up. "Actually, I was going to--"
"Cancel them." Pierce cut him off, making the teenage boy look at him in surprise. "Because I have made some plans. We haven't all hung out together yet and I want to change that so..." Pierce trailed off as if he were about to reveal the most exciting news in the world. "We're going bowling!"
Alec coughed slightly, having just taken a sip of his drink. How was this something Pierce found exciting? Bowling? Alec didn't want to go bowling. "Yeah, I think I'm going to have to pass, thanks for the offer though."
Pierce laughed, "it wasn't an offer. Think of it more like a demand. We're going bowling and you're going to love it. We use to go all the time when Ethan was a kid. He absolutely loves it."
"We haven't been bowling in ages." Ethan commented with his eyebrows furrowed. "What's the sudden change in heart."
Pierce shrugged, "I just thought it would be a good opportunity for us all to get to know each other better." He stood up, picking up his now empty cup and placing it in the sink. "We'll leave after lunch, so do whatever you gotta do within the next couple hours and than," he slapped his hands together, "I'm gonna whoop you at bowling. Yes!" He exclaimed, walking out the room.
Alec walked over to Ethan, sitting down next to him at the table. "Your dad sure likes bowling."
"He loved it when I was younger. I honestly don't know why we stopped. It is fun though, give it a chance spoil sport." Ethan teased, lightly punching him in the shoulder.
Alec smirked, liking the feel of Ethan's warm hand on him. "I guess I could. For you." He leaned across, sitting even closer to the other boy. They still hadn't done anything and Alec didn't know how much longer he could restrain himself.
