Math
Jaden's POV
Math finally came. The third best part of the day but not the last. My first was lunch. Second was PE. Third is Math. Fourth is hanging out at the park after school. We became amazing friends already. Like always, I was one of the first people there. I'm a very good student, shockingly. Considering the fact I do drugs, argue with my parents, very depressed. So I decided to get a head start on taking the notes on the board. Let me explain something real quick. In most of my classes except for this one and my history class, the desks are rectangle desks that have two seats per desk. I sat next to no one so I just put my backpack on the second chair. Then today, someone threw it when the teacher went to the teachers lounge.
"What the fuck, man!?" I yelled and shot up from my chair.
"Chill, boo. It's just me." He chuckled.
"Oh my god. I almost beat your ass." I sat back down and continued the notes.
"I could tell." He smiled and sat down next to me.
"You're late." I said and looked at the time.
"Really? Couldn't tell." He chuckled sarcastically and pointed to the clock. "Ten minutes late. Better late than never, an I right?"
"Shut up." I laughed.
"So you still down to chill at the place? And by chill, I mean get high. And by place I mean ghetto park ten minutes away from the school." He checked with me.
"Yes. We're still gonna go." I said and continued to take notes. The whole time, he was just staring off into space. No wonder why he is lonely. Just kidding.
"Hey. Pssst. Best friend. Only friend. Bestie that I love." He said it so sweetly on that last one.
"Yeeesss, bestie that I love, only friend, and best friend?" I asked.
"I don't even know your name." He whispered.
"Jaden Rose and Gustav Āhr. Are you two really interrupting my lesson? Jade, you can't let Gus influence how you live. Be your own women and ignore him. I bet you can't answer this equation, can you?" The teacher yelled.
"X times y equals z plus 22. You divide x by z giving you y which is clearly 12 as me, the smart person who everyone hates, because I get, and I quote, special treatment, could see." I smiled sarcastically at her shocked face.
"Yea. What she said." He smiled at her also.
"Whatever. Let's get on with the lesson." She continued to talk.
"Good job." The boy, I now know as Gus fist bumped me.
"Thanks. That equation was way to easy." I chuckled.
"Uh, yes for you? Not for me." He chuckled also. "Well I guess we know each other's names, Jade."
"Yep, Gus." I smiled. The rest of the class was us fooling around and the teacher explaining the homework which was easy.
"You know, we could always go to my house." Gus suggested. "I mean as long as it's fine with you."
"But how are we supposed to smoke in front of your mom?" I asked.
"She works late tonight. She won't be back until 10:00 PM." He smiled.
"Perfect. We'll go there." I shrugged still completely forgetting the fact that I have to go straight home. But thirty minutes won't hurt. Just stay for a little bit then say I lagged a bit.
