I haven't moved far away from the Super-Senior's building. That is to say: I haven't been able to. My curiosity is too big and too controlling to actually allow me to walk too far away. I'm not allowed to follow them when they meet up with her, but all I need is a little glimpse of my new partner. I'm biding my time nearby the building as the fact that I don't really know much about her, makes me want to see her even more. She's more experienced than me though, I can tell that much. She's had a partner...who recently died, but she's gotten to that stage before. I'm only just there.I remember that the Super-Senior said about her. About how she had become too much to handle after her partner died. I'll bet she got way out of control for them over there. I'll be the first one to say that it's way too easy for emotions to meddle with the element inside of you. If something really gets to you, there's no way of telling what's coming next. Something like that must've happened to this girl. The way Super-Senior spoke of her, it was like she had become too dangerous to handle over there.
Mind me, I don't know any of this for sure. It's just a thought, a feeling that's popped up inside of my head while I'm sitting here. In fact, I've been walking with that feeling since I left his office a few minutes ago. And what's so weird...or special about it, is that it's not the normal kind of feeling you get when you suspect something. It's almost as if I know all of this. I don't know how to explain any of it. It's like this voice is inside of my head telling me this...it sounds crazy, it has to be crazy. There's no reasonable way I can explain it so I stick to that: it's crazy.
I'm sitting on top of this bunker not that far away. It's the perfect spot really. It's suddle enough so that nobody really cares or notices it, but at the same time it gives you a good view of the square right in front of the Super-Senior's building. That's where she'll come. She'll arrive from the southern gate and end up in that square before entering the building. And I don't have to wait for long before I see her. I sense people on the move and as I bend down to discreetly have a look, I see her among the other Seniors. I'll bet she's not used to the climate yet. She's hanging on to that coat for dear life. The eastern part of the planet as always been known for hot climate anyway.
She seems both hesitant and skeptical by the way I see her walk with the Super-Senior, the other Seniors. She's looking around her as she for one seems curious but at the same time careless. Somehow I just know that she did not choose to come here. It's been said that body-language is the old way to read someone's mind. Our bodies speak when our mouths are sealed or refuse to speak the truth. It's a little bit like how we sometimes allow our elements to speak out our minds and feeling without us really noticing.
Observing her even further from up here, I can tell she's about my age. And there's something about the way she keeps looking around herself, the way she acts around people down there. There's something special about her...not in the way you might insinuate. We don't have time for those things in here...even if we did, we're not allowed. We're not supposed to get too attached to our partners. Our partner cannot be more important than our supposed future mission. They're trying to do whatever they can to recruit more and more sacrificing Elementals. The Marsians are gaining ground on the moon...the leaders are quite desperate.
Just getting out of my thoughts, I suddenly feel a pair of eyes' burning glare in my direction, and it's not without reason. She is looking my way...like staring at me. She's managed to spot me sitting up here. At this point I don't even know what to do, uhm...do I hide? No, wait, that's just stupid! She's already spotted me crying out loud. For moment she just looks at me and I look at her before she ushered inside the big building and I'm finally left to breathe again. Something tells me, I'm up for quite a challenge.
