The next day was brought on by going through downtown London. Driving by the Parlament building, Big Ben, and Buckingham Palace. But that wasn't enough for me. I wanted to see more. I wanted to get more of the England experience. I was particularly excited to go see Stonehenge in a week, and that I wasn't going back to the United States for at least a month.
After touring the city of London itself, my family and I started to head back to Cardiff. It was small and old. It had a mysterious presence to it, one that peaked my interest.
"Do you mind if we stop and take some pictures?" I asked.
"Go ahead. Take as much time as you need." Aunt Emily said.
"Thank you!" I said. Outside the car I took pictures of all the buildings, waterfalls, and all the sights to see. When I got back in the car, I thought that I had seen a man in a long trench coat from the 40s. And thought it was a little peculiar. But didn't think too much of it, so I ignored it the rest of the evening.
At dinner, we ate French onion soup and salad. We had wine. Even I, who was only nineteen years old. After, we all sat and watched the television until it got late. My Aunt and Uncle went to bed and I stayed up, and looked at the pictures I had taken that day.
I had many great pictures of Big Ben, Parlament, and all the good tourist items. The pictures that I had taken later on that day would send chills down my back. I thought back to the man in the 40s trenchcoat. I saw that man in a few of my pictures. The picture that stood out to me was where part of his leg was missing. As if he was walking through some sort of invisability wall. I wanted to go back to that spot. I locked the picture on my camera so that I couldn't accidentally erase it. I wanted to see for myself what was going on. But I couldn't tell my Aunt Emily and Uncle Todd. They would think I was mad. Maybe mad enough to send me home early. I would have to create some kind of diversion to go back down to the spot. I turned off the lamp, and went to sleep. Thinking of how I was going to execute my plan.
