Arthit decided to take care of his apartment and polish it a bit in case Kong would come back. He went to buy groceries to have more in the fridge than some vegetables and also cleaned up a bit. I'm not doing it for him, it's for my sake. Arthit defended himself from himself, having an inside argument. He just didn't want to feel cheap in front of him. Although Kongpob couldn't care less, Arthit was determined to look great in his eyes in all future situations.

When he heard a knocking on the door that disturbed him from scrubbing the sink to shine brightly, he was sure it's Kong. He was almost right, although instead of his former husband, it was his almost wife standing in front of him.

Mary.

"I've sent you a message." She said as a greeting and rushed inside before Arthit could slam the door in front of her.

"You have no right to be here." He said coldly, knowing such a conversation would come once, although this was too early. He wasn't ready.

"Arthit, have you lost your mind? Breaking up over text is beyond any class. Not giving me a chance to explain or talk is more than unfair and you know it. After all we've gone through, I would have never guessed you're so cold-hearted." She snapped right from the beginning.

"I won't discuss it with you. We're done." He simply said, worrying to get too emotional. His head was spinning.

"Arthit!" Mary yelled as he walked past her to the kitchen to get a glass of water. She followed him there.

"You should cut it out. A person who sleeps with her boyfriend's best friend is in no position to talk about class or what's unfair and what's not." Arthit breathed out, taking a sip from the glass. The cold liquid was like heaven to his burning insides. He couldn't lose temper. In no way would he lower himself to Mary's level.

"And you think you're in such a position? Your mom has called me yesterday. I know everything," she grabbed his left hand and showed off his sparkling ring, "about you and your bullshit." She threw the hand away like a piece of garbage.

Arthit was speechless. All he knew was he couldn't let this get him now. He wanted to win. He needed to win.

"Don't you ever dare to call my marriage nor my husband bullshit." He said, having a very scary expression.

"You're funny, you know? Blaming me for cheating, yet you fucked another man. Or did he fuck you? I don't want to know, it's so disgusting." She shook her head in disbelief. Arthit was fuming inside but instead of losing it all, he smiled.

"So what if I fucked him? His performance is far better than yours will ever be." He smirked. "You know, I should thank you. I was about to propose to you the day I found you with Knot. You made me marry the love of my life and not some low-class girl." He giggled softly, feeling like crying already. Not yet, not now.

Mary gasped in surprise, leaving her mouth wide open.

"Even if you would propose, I could never marry a person like you. Faggot!" She yelled with a red face. Mary then grabbed the glass from his hand and splashed the water on Arthit. He was glad his teary eyes were no longer suspicious, having water running down his face. His shirt and hair were also wet.

She proceeded to storm out and slam the door hard behind her.

Arthit breathed heavily, gripping his fists. This couldn't hurt him, he won.

Right?

Another knocking a few minutes later made him jump. Was it her again? If she brought someone with her this time to beat him up? Arthit knew all her tactics and history, he used to be the one Mary brought for beating others if necessary.

He grabbed the first thing near him, a cooking pan, and quietly came to the front door, all prepared. As he opened, the pan he was holding almost slipped out of his hand. Kongpob was standing in front of him with his eyes wide open.

"P'...?" He asked, all confused. Seeing Arthit dripping wet from his face and hair with something in his hand and in ready-to-fight position was more than odd.

"O-oh... Kongpob. What can I do for you?" He asked while straightening up and hiding the object in his hands behind his back. The innocent expression he was making was even weirder to Kong.

"As I was saying, I wanted to ask if I could stay another night here... what do you have there?" He couldn't let it go and peeked behind Arthit's back.

"O-oh hoh. I was carrying a pan full of water and slipped...?" His tone of voice went higher as he finished the sentence.

"A-Are you okay?" Kongpob couldn't be more confused.

"Yeah, don't worry, haha...." Arthit laughed awkwardly, cursing in his mind. To think he was trying his best for Kongpob to look great in all situations. His life was a joke.

Bad joke.
