Once the music ended, Arthit backed away. What the hell am I doing? He thought, annoyed. He should come back to his senses. Kongpob was getting closer and closer to him every meeting, slowly and naturally crawling under Arthit's skin.

"P'Arthit?" Kongpob felt weird when his husband stepped back. It was almost like he wanted to hold him for a bit longer.

"I still have to meet your parents." Arthit reminded him, realizing how they haven't spoken to them directly yet.

"We're going to talk to them tomorrow, it's getting pretty late now." Kongpob confessed, knowing how tired his parents must be.

"We're also going to come over tomorrow?" Arthit asked.

"Well, about that..." Kongpob scratched his head, knowing things aren't going to end up well.

Arthit started to feel uneasy, Kongpob's sudden change in behavior couldn't result in any good.

"Spill it out."

"The thing is... we're sleeping here today." Kong stated the facts, knowing well that he should've told his husbands all the details beforehand.

"Kongpob! Why didn't you tell me sooner?" Arthit frowned.

"I wanted to, but this day was so hectic... P'Arthit seemed so troubled." Kong sighed, knowing there was no excuse for his behavior.

"I didn't even bring any spare clothes... why can't you tell me stuff? It's not my place to ask you about anything personal, therefore I won't, but if it also involves me... I have the right to know. You don't have to trust me, it's completely understandable and expected but I think I deserve as much as knowing about things including both of us." Arthit sighed, lowering his look from Kong to fancy carpet underneath him.

This is so frustrating... keep your distance, you dumbass. Arthit face palmed himself angrily, clenching his hands and drilling his nails deep into skin on his palms. Is it my appearance, making me look so untrustworthy? He wondered, still frowning.

Kong could take his eyes away from his husband. He intended to tell him everything, but there was no good timing. The mood was always off or more important things showed up with need to be taken care of.

Arthit waited few more seconds before giving up. His husband had nothing to say.

"Let's just go." Arthit muttered, feeling disappointed.

When they finally got to Kongpob's old room, it was way past midnight. They haven't spoken to each other since their last 'argument.'

"Take the bed, I'm going to sleep on the floor." Arthit finally broke the long silence, while they both pretended to be doing something.

"P'..."

"We can talk tomorrow, I'm too tired now." He stopped him immediately.

"I just wanted...-"

"Kongpop!" Arthit cut him off again, annoyed.

"Take the bed, please." Kong managed to say quickly. "...and here's your pajama." He handed him pair of shorts and shirt, clearly a size bigger than Arthit was.

"They're clean, don't worry." Kong said, a bit offended by his husband's doubtful look. Then he disappeared in a bathroom attached to his, now theirs', room.

Although Arthit was very tired, he didn't fall asleep as quickly as he imagined. When Kongpob came out of the shower twenty minutes later, he was still widely awake, only pretending to be sleeping.

Kong sighed deeply as he noticed his husband lying on the ground next to the bed. Is he serious or just sulking? He wondered.

In no universe and by no chance would be Kong able to watch his husband sleep on the floor without any mattress, pillow or blanket.

Who the hell have I married...? He asked rhetorically in his mind while bending over and picking his husband like a bride.

Arthit hardly kept his act, shook by Kong's unpredictable actions.

"Don't sulk, P'. I know you're up." He said as he threw him on the bed. Arthit was determined to keep his eyes shut no matter what. He was in the middle of making himself believe he was asleep.

Kongpob turned the lights off and climbed next to his rather bad acting husband.

"It wasn't about trust, P'. I trust you as much as a person who met you only few weeks ago is able to." He sighed. "Don't be mad, I'll tell you everything from now on, I promise. And you may ask me whatever you want to know, I'm going to answer honestly."

Kongpob's talking degraded to whispering.

"Goodnight." Was the last thing he said before turning away from Arthit.

"...night." Arthit said under his breath, but Kong still heard him. A smile appeared on both of their faces before falling asleep.

I've realized this story will be far longer than my previous one. I have about 35 pages written in Word already, and a very detailed plot in my head.

Are you okay with longer stories? I'm going to make it entertaining, although a bit softer and bonding chapters like this one are also needed.

By the way, thank you so much, everyone. Your comments, votes and support I receive every day is one of few things that makes me keep going... ❤️ I don't always reply to every comment in order to not be annoying, but I re-read them quite often. 😍🙈
